Harmonix, MTV Games and T-Mobile Name Band of Skulls the Rock Band Network’s June Artist-of-the-Month

Band of SkullsEnglish blues rockers Band of Skulls are the Rock Band Network’s June “T-Mobile Artist-of-the-Month”. “Band of Skulls' music grabs your attention,” said Cheryl Gehbauer, Senior Director of Music for MTV Games. “Driving guitars mixed with edgy duets and harmonies make this bluesy, indie rock band a standout for the June T-Mobile Artist-of-the-Month.”

As the June “T-Mobile Artist-of-the-Month,” Band of Skulls will be featured for one month in promotions throughout the Rock Band Network Music Store and on the official game website, http://www.RockBand.com, including the new RBN content hub at http://t-mobile.rockband.com, which is fast becoming a rich source of information about Rock Band Network, including Inside RBN, a source for consumers to discover new music, and Creators Club, a source for artist/authors/labels to find out more about the RBN authoring process.

The three Southampton, UK members of Band of Skulls, Russell Marsden (guitar & vocals), Emma Richardson (bass & vocals) & Matt Hayward (drums), met in school and quickly established themselves in the music and art community with a series of culturally inspired club nights in Southampton, London and, later, Moscow and Tokyo. The band recorded, mixed and mastered their debut album, Baby Darling Doll Face Honey, in a quick January through March 2009. The album was released in April 2010 and features the single, “I Know What I Am,” which is also available for download in the Rock Band Network Music Store.
