Digimania to Launch Muvizu using NaturalMotion’s morpheme

natural motion logoNaturalMotion, the animation technology company behind the euphoria engine, today announced that Digimania, formerly a unit of DA Group, has selected their morpheme animation middleware for use in the Muvizu 3D application, which enables anyone to create animated videos without specialist hardware, software or training.

“Digimania recognised that morpheme would fill an essential part of their pipeline in powering Muvizu.” said Andy Payne, VP Sales, NaturalMotion. “As animation specialists, we take great pride in playing such an important role in opening up the field to a younger audience that have already proved they have a lot to contribute. Much of the work produced so far has been both highly creative and entertaining, created by movie makers as young as 7 years old.”

"NaturalMotion are the perfect partners for a novel project such as ours,” said Vince Ryan, MD Digimania. “We knew that, because we were entering uncharted waters, we'd need helpful support. This came in spades and we thank all at NaturalMotion for their efforts on our behalf."

“morpheme allows users to create, iterate, and quickly deploy character variations which go towards making compelling sequences in Muvizu .” said Barry Sheridan, Lead Artist at Digimania.

“morpheme is intuitive and versatile, which made it the perfect fit for our project requirements where we wanted the movie directors to be able to select animation movements which would seamlessly blend together to produce a believable performance” said Robert MacMillan, Lead Developer, Digimania.

Muvizu has recently entered its beta stage. Further details can be found at www.muvizu.com.
