iPhone Application Studio, ICS Mobile Inc, announces a record Christmas week for its critically acclaimed Navy Patrol: Coastal Defense Zero.The application,launched on December 23rd and recently nominated for the 2009 Best App Ever Award (http://bestappever.com/v/stgm/324167933), has clocked nearly 100000 downloads and counting becoming by far the studio's biggest application debut. Initially scheduled to be free for the holiday break only, the studio recently opted to maintain the application live in the App store indefinitely.
ICS Mobile also recently revealed the name of its upcoming project entitled Modern Pirates: D.S.R. The application, designed to incorporate gaming features never seen before on the iPhone, will be merged with an Eliminate Pro multiplayer style infrastructure.
"Modern Pirates will combine components of Risk gameplay,Hungry Hungry Hippos elements, and some role-playing aspects," says ICS's CEO Joe Bayen. " A game creation component will also be included giving players the flexibility to adjust difficulty levels".
The studio is entering a growth phase with the expansion of its workforce as well as ongoing series A funding round negotiations aimed at boosting its marketing budget and increasing its networking infrastructure capability.
In an attempt to facilitate iPhone application discovery for small and large developer alike, ICS Mobile plans to band with a group of publishers to launch a "free-application" focused website entitled FreeAppaDay.com, details of the projects should be revealed shortly.
