Proper Games’ won the BAFTA Scotland games category with their XBLA & PSN game Flock! which was publisher by Capcom, beating Dynamo Games Championship Manager Express 2010 and Cobra Mobiles Low Grav Racer. This is the first year BAFTA Scotland have included distinct categories for games, and illustrates the increased importance of the games industry in Scotland.
Speaking after he collected the award, Creative Director, Geoff Gunning said ‘Its amazing to be recognised by such a prestigious body. Everyone at Proper worked really hard throughout the development process, and to receive this recognition for our first release… It makes all the late nights worthwhile!’. The Dundee-based studio are currently working on an unannounced project and are looking to continue to develop original titles for the download space in the future.
