French developer Nadeo have been purchased by Ubisoft - the publisher announcing the acquisition of the TrackMania creators.
The racing title is enjoyed by some 700,000 players every month, and Ubisoft clearly see great potential in the IP and the firm behind this long running series.
"The acquisition of Nadeo is an important step in our expansion within the on-line gaming sector," enthused Ubi CEO super Yves Guillemot.
"Through Nadeo, Ubisoft will gain an expert team, one of the best online technologies around as well as a flagship multiplayer game that enjoys an unrivalled reputation among a loyal and committed community."
TrackMania 2 hits town in 2010.
