Activision Publishing, Inc. announced today that Attack! Attack! UK is the winner of the Guitar Hero Listening Session at MIDEM 2009. Voted on by a panel of industry veterans, the band beat out over 200 other submissions to have their new single "You and Me", released today featured in an upcoming Guitar Hero game.Attack! Attack! UK has already made quite an impact on the independent UK music scene. Since the release of their self-titled debut album in November 2008, the band has sold over 7,000 copies and counting. Their new single “You and Me” is one of their live show favourites, which showcases their upbeat, melodic and live energy.
MIDEM 2009, which ran from the 18th to 21st of January, is seen by music professionals from across the globe as a place to discover up-and-coming music superstars and meet with the music community at large. During MIDEM 2008, Irish band, The Answer, was discovered at a similar Guitar Hero Listening Session, resulting in one of their popular tracks appearing on Guitar Hero World Tour's set list.
