Harmonix and MTV Games announced today the addition of seven new tracks to the Rock Band Music Store catalog of downloadable content. This week’s mammoth lineup features seven master recordings from legendary, alternative grunge band, Nirvana, including, “Breed,” “Lounge Act,” “On a Plain,” “Polly,” “Something in the Way,” “Stay Away,” and “Territorial Pissings.” These tracks join “In Bloom” from the original Rock Band soundtrack and “Drain You” featured on the Rock Band 2 soundtrack to make for a total of nine Nirvana songs available in the Rock Band music catalog.Each Track will be available starting October 21, 2008, for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and October 23, 2008, for PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system. The cost is $1.99 per track (160 Microsoft Points) or $10.99 (880 Microsoft Points) for the Nirvana 7-pack.
