Spelunker - DoReMi Fantasy - Milon's DokiDoki Adventure on Nintendo WiiWare

As the curtain closes on the third Hanabi Festival, retro gamers are given two more classic titles to keep them playing with Spelunker and DoReMi Fantasy - Milon's DokiDoki Adventure arriving in Europe for the very first time! In addition, Virtual Console fans are further spoilt with the launch of street racer Chase H.Q. and the mesmerizing action RPG, Ys Book I & II!
First off this week for the Hanabi Festival is Spelunker, an action adventure from Tozai, originally published in 1987 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Faced with the challenge of unraveling the secrets of an underground labyrinth, budding explorers must grab their oxygen tank, dynamite and flares and prepare to chart miles of uncharted caves in search of the legendary pyramid and its vast treasures.
Along the way players will traverse hazardous terrain using ropes and ladders and make use of mining carts and rafts, while collecting jewels, sacks of gold coins and other valuable items on the way! The cave also holds many other dangers, from scalding steam vents, poisonous bats and avenging spirits of dead spelunkers forcing you to keep your wits at all times! Next up is DoReMi Fantasy: Milon's DokiDoki Adventure an engrossing action game set in the cute fairy-tale world of Fantasia. The villagers of Piccolo live a tranquil life, until one day the fairy Aeris informs them that all the songs and music from the surrounding forest have been stolen by the demon Amon! Then, almost immediately after delivering the terrible news, she is herself kidnapped by the evil Amon...


Originally only available in Japan by Hudson Soft for the Super Nintendo, players step into the shoes of Milon who embarks on a magical journey to rescue Aeris and return the forest's music by retrieving five legendary instruments and stars, Equipped with only his bubble shooter, Milon must stand tall and overcome the nefarious Amon and his equally dangerous never ending minions! Speeding away from the Hanabi Festival towards Virtual Console, take to the streets in Chase HQ, a fast-paced racing game, originally released by Taito for Turbografx, in which you attempt to catch criminals through intense pursuits and ramming their car off the road!
Taking the helm as one of two cops from the NYPD special "CHASE H.Q." unit, the first half of each stage involves a heated chase, followed by a high-octane action sequence where you try to stop the culprit by repeatedly ramming into them! Weaving through packed streets full of innocent bystanders, your driving expertise is pushed to the very limit to catch the criminal. Carefully utilizing your turbo units for extra speed and ramming power tight corners, long straights and oncoming vehicles make this a driving must for any adrenaline junkie!

Last but not least this week is the much loved classic action RPG Ys Book I & II. Chronicling the first adventures of Adol Christin, a young red-haired swordsman, as he embarks on his mystical quest to unlock the secrets of an ancient kingdom.

Originally released by Nihon Falcom for the Turbografx, you search the island of Esteria, gathering clues to unravel the mystery of the ancient land of Ys.
