New gadgets and add-ons for both Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox consoles were announced.
A new Microsoft Side Winder X6 keyboard has a removable, programmable keypad.
The keypad can be attached to both left and right side of the keyboard, for both right and left handed players.
At $80 it’s not cheap - it is expect to be available in stores in September.
Sony are planning a wireless keypad to allow gamers to input text directly into their PlayStation 3.
The wireless keypad snaps onto the top of a SixAxis or DualShock 3 controller and plugs into the mini-USB port.
It has a touchpad mode for mouse input, plus Bluetooth to allow pairing with phones and other devices.
No prices have been announced but it is expected to become available in November. The Xbox already have a keypad available.
Microsoft are to offer a new 'Limited Edition' Xbox 360 controller with an better directional pad in Europe Latin America and Asia.
It is identical to the look of the standard controller, only it's green. The d-pad offers instant control for eight ways – previous this was limited to four.
