PopCap is one of the bigger names in casual games for the computer. It has now announced that one of its most popular games, Peggle, will be debuting on the Nintendo DS later this year. PopCap partnered with Q Entertainment to bring the game to the DS.
PopCap says that plans for launch in Europe for the Nintendo DS are not confirmed at this time. The Nintendo DS version is expected to have more levels than the existing versions of the game and some levels will be DS exclusives. Controls for the game will also be re-mastered. Versions of Peggle are already available for Mac, PC and iPod. PopCap says Q Entertainment is underway with the adaptation of Peggle for the DS. I would expect the game to hit in time for the holiday shopping season.
