Fable II video game music soundtrack for download

Sumthing Else Music Works, Inc., through its licensing relationship with Microsoft Game Studios, proudly presents Fable II Original Soundtrack featuring the original music score by Russell Shaw and the “Fable Theme” from Danny Elfman. The original soundtrack from the Xbox 360™ roleplaying adventure video game will be released on Nov. 25, 2008 to retail outlets through Nile Rodgers’ Sumthing Else Music Works record label www.sumthing.com, and for digital download at www.sumthingdigital.com and iTunes.

Fable II Original Soundtrack features the rich and musically diverse Fable II score composed by Russell Shaw (Fable, Black & White) as well as the Fable Theme by GRAMMY award-winner Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, The Simpsons, Big Fish.) The Fable II score was recorded with 90 musicians including the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra at the Slovak Radio Concert Hall in Bratislava, as well as celtic instrumentalists with the Tiffin School Boys Choir and Pinewood Singers Adult Choir at Pinewood Film Studios in London, England.
”We had a lot of music to record, covering many different styles including chamber, celtic, classic, quirky, pure pizzicato, atmospheric and dramatic,” said Russell Shaw, Head of Music and Composer at Lionhead Studios. “Music for the game was broken down into four distinct categories: regions, script, combat and incidentals. Each region has its own orchestral theme which changes with the seasons in each chapter. Scripted moments have orchestral cues relevant to what is happening at that point in the story – sad, dramatic, mysterious, tension and danger. The final result is a very rich, Hollywood style score covering many genres.”
Track Listing:
1. Fable Theme - Russell Shaw (Music Box Theme – Danny Elfman)
2. Old Town - Russell Shaw
3. Bowerstone Cemetery - Russell Shaw
4. Bowerlake - Russell Shaw
5. Wraithmarsh - Russell Shaw (Music Box Theme – Danny Elfman)
6. Fairfax Castle - Russell Shaw
7. Westcliff - Russell Shaw
8. Oakfield - Russell Shaw
9. Bowerstone Market - Russell Shaw
10. Shadow of Evil - Russell Shaw
11. Howling Halls - Russell Shaw
12. Marcus Memorial - Russell Shaw
Fable II is the sequel to the wildly successful original that sold more than 3 million copies, offering even more choices and building on the core gameplay theme of Fable, where a player’s every decision continually defines who they become. Fable II is an action role-playing game (RPG) that truly allows players to live the life they choose in the newly expanded open world of Albion. Set 500 years after the original, Fable II provides gamers with an epic story and innovative real-time gameplay, including a massive amount of freedom and choice to explore a vast collection of dungeons, catacombs and taverns in the world of Albion. MumboJumbo Introduces LUXOR - Quest for the Afterlife for PC

Fourth chapter of hit franchise features all-new game mode, 100 levels, collectible artifacts, and intriguing mystery to solve.

LUXOR: Quest for the Afterlife for the PC. This is the fourth installment in the popular marble-shooter franchise, which launched in 2005 and received recognition as the “casual game of the year.” The game, which is available now at www.mumbojumbo.com, will retail for $19.99 at retailers and leading game portals beginning Nov. 11.

LUXOR: Quest for the Afterlife features 100 levels and a brand new battle mode for fans of the action-puzzle game to enjoy. For the first time in the franchise, players will venture out of Egypt to unravel the shroud of mystery surrounding the great Queen Nefertiti and track the thieves who have stolen one of her sacred artifacts along the Silk Road.

“In Quest for the Afterlife, we’ve taken LUXOR to a whole new level,” said Mark Cottam, CEO of MumboJumbo. “For the first time, players will get to choose their own paths and leave Egypt. Fans of LUXOR will find that we’ve really enhanced the entire experience—there are brilliantly rendered backgrounds, new game modes and a really incredible story that unfolds in the game.”

In LUXOR: Quest for the Afterlife, players wield a mystical scarab shooter to propel marbles and make color matches of three or more to try and eliminate the chain of advancing spheres. When the player matches certain spheres, power-ups and treasures drop down that the players must catch with the shooter. Players will follow the Silk Road to chase thieves and collect artifacts along the way, which will help them solve the mystery of Queen Nefertiti.
This is the much-anticipated follow-up to LUXOR 3, a game that was downloaded more than 2.5 million times when it was launched last year and still ranks among the top marble shooter games at popular online game portals. LUXOR: Quest for the Afterlife is rated E for Everyone with a descriptor for Violent References.

In this episode, there are a number of new features that will be debuted, including:
• New Battle mode: This all-new tug-of-war mode pits players against the thieves. If a player is able to make matches faster than the opposing thief, then a scarab pusher is added to his or her side of the train of marbles, which can push the thief’s treasure into his or her possession

• New levels: 100 levels in Adventure mode, featuring all-new vibrant, widescreen-supported backgrounds and more than 20 new puzzle levels

• New achievement badges: Players can collect 12 achievement badges for milestones reached during the game

• New artifacts to collect and assemble to enhance game play: In Adventure Mode, there are seven artifacts to recover along the Silk Road, and players must collect the pieces and assemble them to positively impact the game play. The artifacts include:
o Eye of Horus – Allows players to search the map for other pieces of artifacts to assemble o Sphinx – Unlocks puzzle mode o Scarab – Adds the Golden Scarabs to levels, which players can shoot for bonus coins to spend on upgrading their power-ups o Statue of Horus – Upgrades the shooter, making it easier to find artifacts o Cow of Hathor – Makes every treasure a player catches worth additional bonus points o Chariot – Allows a player to instantly travel to any city visited to collect artifact pieces and catch the thieves o Sun Discs of Aten – Each of the three discs will expose a Wandering Prophet of Amun (the key conspirators in the thievery of Nefertiti’s treasure). Players can chase down the thief to battle him for a very important artifact, one of the four Canopic Jars.

• New player-determined game play: Players can choose which path to take out of Egypt

• New mysterious story with narration: In an all-new story of mystery and betrayal along the Silk Road, players are guided in their search for the thieves by the voice of the Spirit of Queen Nefertiti

• New ball sets: Three all-new unlockable ball sets

• All-new soundtrack

Tales of Pirates PC video game - Industrial Forging walkthrough

The players from Tales of Pirates (http://top.igg.com) recently had some fun with an industrial experiment in game. In the last chapter we heard about Analyzing, today we will continue with a quick glance at another handicraft, Forging.

Many players have strong interests in forging because through forging they can create whatever gear they want or need themselves. There is no need for them to fight hard with BOSSes and hoping the gear drops are exactly what they want, they get it right the first time!

Necessities for Forging:
Fairy Analyzing Skills: Can be learned from the Lifeskill Book of Forging Pet Fairies.
Blueprint: The design drawing, of which the rank must be smaller or equal to the character’s forging skill level.
Tool: Anti Matter Crystal.
Forging Effect: When the forging begins, the dice will start to shake. Players will need to guess Big or Small. The guess will determine the outcome of the forging.

Analyzing Flow:
Find the Big Furnace at Thundoria Castle (759, 1474).
Click to open the Forging page, and then drag the necessary items, Blueprint, pet Fairy, raw materials and Anti Matter Crystal into their corresponding positions. Remember the Blueprint must be put into first slot!

Click Start, then the progress bar below will begin to move. Watch the dice on the right side, they will then start shaking. Players will need to guess Big or Small. Your guess will determine the outcome.

4.7 million units of Fallout 3 video game shipped

Fallout 3 has enjoyed record sales at launch, reflecting the huge consumer demand for the game. Approximately 4.7 million units of Fallout 3 were shipped worldwide last week for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows representing retail sales in excess of $300 million.

Released on October 28 in North America at midnight store openings in over 2,000 retail outlets nationwide jammed with fans eager to get the game, Fallout 3 quickly became one of the industry’s top sellers around the world. For example, in the United Kingdom where it was not released until Friday, October 31 the rapid sales of Fallout 3 have led the game to be ranked number one among all video games, as well as being the number one game on each of its three platforms.

Hailed as one of the most anticipated games of 2008, Fallout 3 received a 10 out of 10 review score from Official Xbox Magazine, a result then repeated around the world with perfect scores by some of the industry’s most influential and respected critics including: Gamespy, GamePro, UGO, the Associated Press, MSN, The Washington Post, Guardian, FHM, Scripps Howard, G4-TV, The Toronto Star and Eurogamer. MSNBC’s review offered the observation that it viewed “Fallout as a no-brainer for game of the year.” The Daily Star in the UK echoed that conclusion, saying “You can hold all bets on game of the year – I think we have a winner.”

The successful launch of Fallout 3 by Bethesda Softworks follows the success of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which remains one of the highest scoring games ever published and earned “Game of the Year” honors in 2006. Fallout 3 has been featured on over 100 magazine covers across the globe and is available in eight languages. The initial retail shipments of Fallout 3 included both the Regular version of the game as well as a limited “Collector’s Edition.” A Fallout 3 Official Game Guide in both the regular and collector’s edition versions has also been a strong seller. Fallout 3 is slated for release in Japan on December 4th.

Fallout 3 features one of the most realized game worlds ever created. Set more than 200 years following a nuclear war, you can create any kind of character you want and explore the open wastes of Washington, D.C. however you choose. Every minute is a fight for survival as you encounter Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders, and other dangers of the Wasteland.
