PORTAL KNIGHTS fans will have the chance to get a taste in advance of this award-winning 3D action RPG sandbox game thanks to a FREE TRIAL VERSION coming on PS4 and Xbox One on APRIL 20th across EMEA and the US.

The Portal Knights fully localized trial version will allow players to immerse themselves in the game ahead of release, exploring the first island in both single and multiplayer modes, while learning basics of combat and crafting. Users will be able to transfer trial version save data into the full game when it launches.

Abertay University team scoop prestigious BAFTA Games award

A team of elite Abertay University games creators are celebrating after scooping the prestigious Ones to Watch prize at the BAFTA Games Awards.

Student team Bluedoor Games took the coveted title at a glittering black-tie event in London, attended by key players from the world’s games industry.

The winning game, Among the Stones, was created as part of Abertay’s Dare to be Digital Competition which has this year been rebooted to become Dare Academy.

Bluedoor’s entry beat strong competition from fellow Abertay team Ludico’s creation, Pentagrab, and Hexterion’s dodgeball-based title, Rebound, to secure the win.

Uncharted 4 wins Best Game at British Academy Games Awards 2017

BAFTA has announced the winners of British Academy Games Awards, which celebrated the very best in games of the past year. The ceremony was hosted by Danny Wallace at Tobacco Dock, London.

Uncharted 4, the action adventure game developed by Naughty Dog Studios, won Best Game. This is the fifth win for the series, its previous four came in 2010 for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

INSIDE, the puzzle-platformer adventure game, won four BAFTAs: Artistic Achievement, Game Design, Narrative and Original Property.

Overcooked, the cooking simulation game, won British Game and Family. Firewatch, the first-person mystery adventure game, won Debut Game and Performer for Cissy Jones.

Another six games were winners on the night. The autobiographical game That Dragon, Cancer won for Game Innovation. Futuristic sports-action game Rocket League won Evolving Game. The team-based multiplayer first-person shooter Overwatch won the BAFTA for Multiplayer. Pokémon Go, the location based augmented reality game, won in Mobile Game. The Last Guardian, the action-adventure game, won the BAFTA for Audio Achievement. The mystery adventure game Virginia won in Music.

The AMD eSports Audience Award was won by Clash Royale, seeing off competition from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, League of Legends, Overwatch and Street Fighter V.

Guilds will aim for the stars in all-new battleground - Starshatter Island.

A major game update “Stardust”, will land in Revelation Online's Nuanor on April 12. This update includes the new Guild vs.Guild map Starshatter Island, the long-awaited Faerie’s Funland map, localization refinements and various gameplay enhancements. Starshatter Island is a guild versus guild area in which they battle over the control of four precious crystal mining points. Players will fight vicious monsters and coordinate large scale attacks on rivaling guilds in order to gain the upper hand and mine the crystals' resources. Starshatter Island lets multiple guilds, with a maximum of 400 players in total, unleash strategic conflicts of epic proportions!

Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles release date info and trailers - PC PS4

Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, the open-world adventure from a former Activision producer and Rocksteady developers now forming Prideful Sloth, which launches for PlayStation 4 and PC on July 18, 2017.

Players will explore eight distinct environments, each with their own flora and fauna, while helping local villagers and wildlife stave off a darkness threatening the beautiful island of Gemea.
