Video Game Tribute Charity Album The String Arcade Now Available as Digital Download and CD Free sample tracks

Composer Dren McDonald is announcing the release of The String Arcade, a recording of classic video game music reimagined for string quartet. The crowdfunded album sells for $9.99 as a digital download from Loudr, iTunes, and other channels. In addition, BandCamp offers a $11.99 CD version and free streaming. (See below for store links.) All profits will be donated to the Alameda Music Project, a tuition-free afterschool program that provides intensive classical music instruction to underserved children in grades K-5.

GTA Online Valentine's Day Massacre Special Free update this Friday

Everything in the Valentine’s Day Massacre Special will be available for a limited time starting this Friday, but once acquired players will be able to keep them in their inventory for good. We will also have more information soon for other forthcoming GTA Online content updates including the Dangerous Business Pack, Online Heists, an expansion to the Creator tool and lots more.

Rappelz Epic VIII part 3 goes live - PC

Starting today, every Rappelz enthusiast will be able to access the global Public Test Server and try all of the features of the upcoming expansion. During the tests players will get a chance to help the Rappelz team to spot any possible problems with the game client and improve the final version of the upcoming expansion. In order to give participants a good chance to test all the aspects of the expansion all drop rates, XP and Rupee drops will be significantly increased. The Rappelz team will also introduce a new in-game NPC who will provide special boosts to the players.

Versus Evil, an independent game publisher and Stoic, an independent game development company, today announced that they have partnered with the JORVIK Viking Centre, to present the award winning indie game The Banner Saga at the JORVIK Viking Festival 2014 in York in the United Kingdom. From Thursday February 20th through to Saturday 22nd February (10.00am - 5.00pm), visitors will get a chance to experience Norse mythology first hand at The Banner Saga interactive marquee on Parliament Street, York. The Viking Festival runs from February 15th - 23rd.

League of Angels Features Angel Cosplays

Reality Squared Games (R2Games) teased earlier in January that their latest game's titular Angels would be portrayed by a number of cosplayers, in particular Maridah, Ginny McQueen, HezaChan and Heroes of Cosplay star Riki LeCotey (aka Riddle).

Maridah's portrayal of Angel "Lorelei" has already been completed, of which a limited number of photos have been shared on social media sites. Ginny McQueen's "Sylvia" is nearing completion and should be seeing the light of day very soon. Having recently joined in, HezaChan is currently working on an upcoming costume "Amora", and Riki LoCotey's portrayal of "Prospera" is expected around mid-March.
