Tropico 3 goes back to the roots of the hit strategy series closely following the original Tropico story-line. Tropico 3 is being developed by Haemimont Games who previously developed the popular Imperium Romanum and Grand Ages: Rome for Kalypso Media.

GamesCom, the new industry show for computer and video games in Cologne marks a fresh start for Kalypso Media with a first and significant presence on the convention's show floor. The vast Tropico 3 themed booth sports an atmospheric beach design and will allow visitors to play the highly anticipated successor to the cult game for the first time exclusively.
Kalypso Media are offering a select group of gamers the opportuity to pay an early visit to their tropical paradise, Tropico Island. Closed beta testing of Tropico 3 will provide the opportunity to visit Tropico Island at the start of summer. Tropico 3, published by Kalypso Media and developed by Haemimont Games is the sequel to the hit title Tropico series and follows closely the storyline of the original title in the series, Tropico.
Kalypso Media have announced the release of Tropico 3 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.Stefan Marcinek, Global Managing Director Kalypso Media Group said “The Tropico 3 release on the Xbox 360 is a first for Kalypso and marks the beginning of an exciting entry into the console market. Throughout 2010 Kalypso Media have plans to release four titles in tandem on both the Xbox 360 and PC. Kalypso Media released ten new screenshots for their upcoming city building strategy game Tropico 3. The new screenshots show the steamy, bustling City of Tropico Island together with views of the harbor and life in the jungle.
