Buyers and Cellars (and Thieves’ Guild)

runescape girl
If there is truth in the saying that there is honour among thieves, and also that many hands make light work, then why is there no Thieves’ Guild? An ‘entrepreneur’ by the name of Darren Lightfinger had this very thought, and is now recruiting guild members to help him build a splendid subterranean guildhall. To this end he is tasking rogue adventurers with ‘rescuing’ a valuable ‘artefact’ in our latest quest, Buyers and Cellars.

runescape video game logoFollowing the light-hearted frivolity of RuneScape’s annual Christmas events, players hoping to ease themselves gently into the New Year are in for a shock. Nomad’s Requiem is RuneScape’s second ‘Grandmaster’ quest. Although it differs greatly from the first such quest - While Guthix Sleeps – it is by no means less challenging.

Runescape players guide tips on how to use Holy Magic...

runescape game
Prayer in Runescape serves the same role that clerical or priestly magic does in other games. It serves to heal and buff the Runescape character. Prayer is used for both buffing and healing in the game, but it is one of the hardest skills to raise. Merely using a power from the prayer list does not give a Runescape character prayer experience.

Most skills in Runescape have a fairly straight forward process of leveling up which involves using them. Using a spell from the prayer list will not cause the skill to go up. Instead, a player must find and bury bones in order to gain experience. It is often a painstakingly slow process.

Raising Runescape Prayer Experience
Using a spell form the prayer list is not enough to cause a player's experience in the skill to go up. Insated, a Runescape character must bury bones found on the monsters that he kills. The bones that yield the most prayer experience can only be used by Runescape members, but this restriction only means that the free members can still level up their prayer skill level more slowly. A free player who wants to raise his prayer skill should find and bury big bones, which give 15 experience points when buried.
Getting New Prayers in Runescape
As a Runescape characters level in prayer increases, new buff spells become available that can help a character out as he journeys through the game world. Spells on the prayer list can be used as long as the character has the necessary skill points and level to use them. If a character runs out of skill points, he must return to an altar and pray to recharge his prayer points.
Prayer in Runescape is one of the most frustrating skills to level, but it is the second most powerful skill set in the game. Because there are no limits to the number of skills a Runescape cahracter can learn, there is no reason not to pursue any skill that makes a character's life easier.

Patience and diligence are required to raise this skill more so than any other skill in Runescape. If a character puts the effort, he will eventually reap the rewards of channeling divine energy.

Get a life, but make it second life top 5 virtual world + top 5 online games

Most of us have an alter-ego waiting to burst out, and now it can - on the internet, in virtual worlds that are springing up to suit every need and desire. Ian Douglas explores a universe of online possibilities

I couldn't wrap my nephew's birthday present last year. There was no box or batteries to be included because what I'd bought him was the ability to go online, pretend to be a penguin and talk to his friends.

Thin, tall and beautiful: this must be Second Life
A year's membership to Club Penguin, the icy virtual world for children aged six to 14, is less and less of an unusual gift. There are more than 700,000 members, all of whom pay from $60 (£29) a year.

For their money they get games, clubs, the possibility of earning "coins" through competitions and work, which can be traded in for objects in the game or in the real world. They can build their own igloo and fill it with objects they've collected, assemble a wardrobe of penguin clothes and go sledging.
