Bag two exclusive BioShock multiplayer characters with GameStop pre-order
Exclusive - pre-order bonus for Bioshock 2. Whilst this seems to be fairly irrelevant, the bonus itself proves to be rather interesting. Pre-ordering the title, which fairly recently suffered a release date setback, will bag purchasers two exclusive Bioshock 2 multiplayer characters.
The two characters have been revealed as Zigo, a fisherman, and Blanche, an actress, two characters which players are likely to come across within the game’s single player campaign. A post on 2k forums shows (incredibly small) images of the promotion, as well as the first images of the characters. Both characters appeared in the Bioshock 2 gamer picture pack, which released last month for 80 Microsoft Points.
The news comes after the Bioshock 2 beach campaign finished earlier today, proving to be a slight disappointment. The items that washed up on the shores turned out to be glass bottles from Worley Winery, a location in Arcadia, Rapture. Each bottle contained a poster, relating to the just a few of the game’s plasmids.

BioShock 2 latest video PlayStation 3 game screenshots
BioShock 2 will be released simultaneously on PlayStation 3 this time around - here's some screenshots to keep you interested...
the underwater city of Rapture, because we’re here to tell you just how amazing BioShock 2 is already looking, underlined by a drill-wielding Big Daddy of a main character.
Hunting the Big Sisters and utilizing Plasmids to unload a host of destruction, the return of Rapture brings a whole new world of experiences.
We listened last week as a some of the team behind the BioShock series talked about how this sequel came about and how this time around, you can take you Big Daddy outside the indoor confirms of Rapture and explore the surrounding sea. You now have the ability to Harvest or Adopt a Little Sister, and that dynamic will be an important driving force in the game and the incessant hunt for Adam.
And in a few weeks, Jeff and I will hop over to publisher 2K Games for a video interview with some of the brains behind the game. Of course, we’ll need your questions to make that happen. So drop your burning inquiries as comments, and we’ll make sure to get the goods in the very near future.

From Sea of Dreams to Bioshock 2 what's in a name...
Bioshock 2 publisher 2K has confirmed a few key details about their upcoming sequel to the 2007 hit, first and foremost that the name has been shortened. Let's face it, Sea of Dreams is kinda underwhelming as far as titles go, sounding like something that would be better off adorning the entry to a Disney ride in some fancy script. Going forward, the game is just plain ol' Bioshock 2.
A few other details have also been made public about the upcoming title. There will be multiplayer this time around, although no co-op mode is planned. The game is set 10 years after the events depicted in the first game, so those geared up for a prequel depicting the fall of Rapture are gonna be disappointed. The undersea city has crumbled, flooding some sections from the first game, while opening up new areas for exploration.
Perhaps most interesting is the protaganist - this time around you'll be playing as one of the Big Daddies, the iconic diving-suited giants from the first game. Little else has been revealed, but I'm sure that a lot of punters are going to be joining Hellbored in following the latest developments on this game as it approaches release. No date has been given, but the title will be available on PS3, XBox 360 and PC sometime in 2009.
