‘Kung-Fu LIVE’ Video Game Challenges the World to Kick Ass at Gamescom 2010
Virtual Air Guitar Company Ltd, a Helsinki–based independent game developer and computer vision specialist, announced today to combatants across the globe an invitation to literally step into an epic fighting game like no other with Kung-Fu LIVE at the Gamescom trade fair in Cologne, Germany before it launches this Fall on PlayStation Network. Gamescom attendees of all ages interested in testing their skills can stop by Hall 6 - Open Booth C-033 from August 19th to the 22nd for their exclusive body-on trial of the game.
Taking players directly into a battle of good versus evil with accurate real-time motion tracking and image scanning, Kung-Fu LIVE will challenge players at the show to use their entire bodies with Virtual Air Guitar Company’s patented Freemotion technology on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. The game features a limitless combination of martial arts moves, acrobatic stunts and super-human power attacks ready for combat as players launch their feet and fists into the air with patience, skill and style in order to defeat their enemies. Costumes and ninja outfits, while not required, are said to intimidate evil assailants in the player’s attempt to save the world from total chaos and certain destruction.
“At Gamescom, we finally have the chance to show off the depth of ‘Kung-Fu LIVE’ as a fully-realized hardcore fighting game, and we’ll be sharing more stages, enemies, and bosses than ever before,” said Teemu Mäki-Patola, CEO of Virtual Air Guitar Company Ltd. “The crowd will even get a sneak peek at our unique multiplayer mode that pits players on the couch against players on their own two feet. It’s going to be intense, and we invite everyone attending the show to stop by our booth and show off their kung-fu moves, walking away with a full workout that no other fighting game can deliver.”
Launching later this Fall on PlayStation Network, Kung-Fu LIVE will provide a fast, fun, and action packed experience while ushering in a new era of full-body motion gaming.
