Console action adventure, ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West, playable at this year's Eurogamer Expo

Leading the Namco Bandai Partners line-up will be what is tipped to be one of the year's hottest releases, ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
Developed by Ninja Theory, ENSLAVED is a cinematic gaming masterpiece inspired by the classic Chinese novel "Journey to the West", featuring Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings, King Kong) as dramatic co-director and lead character Monkey, a story co-written from the pen of Alex Garland (The Beach, 28 Days Later), and music by acclaimed composer Nitin Sawhney. The game takes players on a gripping, surprise-filled journey as two dissimilar characters, Monkey and Trip, form an uneasy union in order to survive their way through a perilous, post-apocalyptic America. A tactical action-adventure game, ENSLAVED centres on the complex relationship between the two main characters and challenges players to employ a mix of combat, strategy and environmental exploration.

Rupert Loman, Managing Director at Eurogamer said: "The line up from NAMCO BANDAI Partners is guaranteed to draw a crowd eager to get hands-on with these new games. Their lead title is highly visual, high-profile, and will further enrich the event experience for consumers at this year's Eurogamer Expo."

Lee Kirton, Marketing & PR Manager at NAMCO BANDAI Partners UK, Ltd. said: "We are thrilled to showcase ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West at the Eurogamer Expo. This is a truly different gaming experience to a lot of titles in the market. It has an excellent script and direction by Alex Garland and Andy Serkis has given a truly outstanding full performance in game. It truly stands out when you play. The mix of exciting action, full on open exploration, dramatic dialogue and wonderful post-apocalyptic setting really allows ENSLAVED to be up there as a ‘game changer'. The Eurogamer guys are excited and now we want to see gamers excited."
