Rune Factory world expands with the series' first ever Nintendo Wii release

rune factory on wiiRising Star Games announce that Rune Factory Frontier, from the creative minds behind Rune Factory and Harvest Moon on DS, will launch on the Nintendo Wii on 1st April.

Marvelous Entertainment's Rune Factory Frontier is an evolution of the classic Harvest Moon formula, allowing gamers to go anywhere and do anything they like, and take life at their own pace.

Playing as Raguna gamers can freely explore the beautiful town of Tranrupia, along with the ominous floating Whale Island that eventually threatens the existence of Tranrupia and all its inhabitants. The core gameplay is classic Rune Factory, blending together aspects of farming and life sim games, and enriched by dungeon exploring and action RPG elements.

Part of the challenge in Rune Factory Frontier is to learn various trades from farming and foraging to crafting and cooking, which help to bring the city to life. There are seasonal variations in the weather affecting the type of crops that can be grown throughout the year.

"We're delighted to confirm the release of Rune Factory Frontier, the first in the series to appear on the Nintendo Wii," says Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. "The Rune Factory and Harvest Moon games are incredibly well respected by gamers and Rune Factory Frontier proves itself a worthy addition to the portfolio."

With stunning graphics, enhanced audio, intuitive controls and a cast of new and familiar characters, gamers will be enchanted by Rune Factory Frontier on the Wii.
