Borderlands 4 was announced at gamescom’s Opening Night Live with a teaser trailer providing players with their first tantalizing glimpse of an all-new planet. Borderlands 4 is the fourth mainline title and seventh overall entry in the franchise. Players will once again assume the role of a legendary Vault Hunter as they search for secret alien treasure while blasting everything in sight.

Everspace 2 Titans video game Massive Encounters Emerge From Deep Space new DLC

Two new EVERSPACE 2 storylines introduce the series' biggest space encounters yet in a newly announced DLC launching next month. The ROCKFISH Games team has already started work on a second, even larger, expansion. EVERSPACE 2: Titans, the first major DLC for the award-winning spaceship action RPG, EVERSPACE 2, has been revealed. Titans will launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 September 16, 2024. A playable first look at the DLC will be available to the public on the gamescom show floor in the Indie Arena Booth, Hall 10.2. The announcement follows EVERSPACE 2’s win for Best German Game at the 2024 Deutsche Computerspielpreis, the top award for video games developed in Germany.

Journey Beyond the Edge of the World, Markus Koepke’s atmospheric first-person adventure currently in development for PC, is making its debut at this year’s gamescom, but those unable to attend don’t have to miss out on experiencing what the game has to offer as an early demo will also be available on Steam tomorrow on August 21st 2024. In this first public demo, players will get an introduction into the game’s surreal retro-sci fi story set in 1953, and get the opportunity to solve an environmental puzzle that highlights the game’s rope physics amidst a treacherous storm. They will also experience the eerie atmosphere enveloping the fishing vessel they find themselves on, as they operate a mysterious device called the Temporal Resonance Localiser, allowing them to use the game’s spatial audio mechanics.
