Command & Conquer 3 - Kane's Wrath on Xbox 360 ships

Kane Returns to the Xbox 360 with a New Campaign, Exclusive Kane's Challenge Mode and the Revolutionary CommandStick Interface for Only $39.99

The Dark Messiah is wreaking havoc on consoles again! Electronic Arts announced today that Command & Conquer 3 - Kane's Wrath has shipped to retail outlets in North America and Europe for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system. The standalone follow up to the award-winning, bestselling real-time strategy game of 20071, Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars 2, Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath for the Xbox 360 contains all of the key features from the PC version while adding exclusive enhancements including the revolutionary CommandStick interface, the all-new Kane’s Challenge mode and all of the units, structures and superpowers from Tiberium Wars giving you command over 100 deadly tools of destruction – all for only $39.99.
"Our team has been very passionate about delivering the same fast, fluid and fun gameplay that has defined the Command & Conquer franchise on the PC to consoles,” said Jim Vessella, Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath producer. “Each time we release a new RTS on consoles, we want to make sure we help continue to bridge that platform gap, and with the CommandStick in Command & Conquer 3 - Kane’s Wrath we are giving players an unprecedented amount of control.”

Command & Conquer 3 - Kane’s Wrath on the Xbox 360 features four gameplay modes, including the all-new and exclusive Kane’s Challenge – a grueling gauntlet of 90 matches against nine deadly armies, featuring exclusive cutscenes and taunts from Kane. Skirmish and multiplayer battles are available for up to four players over Xbox LIVE3, with VisionCam support and over 50 maps to choose from.

Players will also be able to enjoy a 13-mission story-driven campaign, told through over 40 minutes of high-definition, full-motion videos starring Natasha Henstridge (Species), Carl Lumbly (Alias) and, of course, Joe Kucan as Kane himself. The epic story spans two decades of Tiberium Lore, focusing on the rebirth of the Brotherhood of Nod after the Second Tiberium War through the dramatic events of the Third Tiberium War and beyond.

Battlefield - Bad Company out today

Battlefield - Bad Company has shipped to retail stores. The game will land on retail shelves on June 25 in North America and June 27 in Europe. Launching on PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360 videogame and entertainment system, players will join the ‘B’ Company, a wayward band of soldiers more interested in the pursuit of gold and personal financial gain than following the rules.

Battlefield - Bad Company delivers a deep single-player campaign loaded with dark humor, intense combat and deafening destruction. Players take on the role of Preston Marlowe, a young soldier whose antics land him in the division with the highest mortality rate alongside other troublemakers Sarge, Haggard and Sweetwater. Players will tackle harsh terrain and fierce enemies with their squad of renegade soldiers as they search for an elusive treasure using dozens of vehicles, weapons and deadly toys all at their disposal for explosive experimentation.

Gamers can also jump online for some intense multiplayer action as players become either an attacker or defender in the Gold Rush multiplayer mode as they protect or destroy crates that hold precious gold and their ticket home. As gamers embark on their quest for financial freedom, they’ll experience the same classic Battlefield gameplay including access to numerous vehicles, weapons and open maps as well as the new tactical destruction that only Battlefield: Bad Company can deliver. The popular Conquest mode made famous by the Battlefield franchise will be offered as a free download later this summer.

Battlefield: Bad Company is developed by Sweden-based developer DICE, www.dice.se. The game is rated “T” by the ESRB and “16+” by PEGI. For more information about the regular and Gold Edition of the game, please visit http://www.battlefield.com or our press web site at http://info.ea.com.

Introducing Spore Cell Phase

“The Spore Team is proud to present the Cell Phase, the first stage in the Spore universe. Cell Phase is your introduction to the fundamentals of Spore. You play a simple organism which is dropped onto your planet by way of meteor. The stage takes place in a top-down 2-D environment and you can play as an herbivore, carnivore, or omnivore. You earn DNA and collect parts to improve your creature’s abilities. Make your choices wisely - even as a lowly simple organism, your choices and actions will have long lasting effects. Avoid larger, carnivorous organisms while feeding on smaller organisms or algae – all while being tossed around in strong ocean currents. Eventually you will grow large enough to sprout legs and crawl out of the water and up onto land.”

Banjo-Kazooie - Nuts & Bolts - Fact Sheet

Banjo-Kazooie - Nuts & Bolts Fact Sheet

Title: “Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts”

Publisher: Microsoft Game Studios

Developer: Rare Ltd.

Format: DVD for the Xbox 360 video game system

ESRB Rating: E-10 rating pending

Availability: Holiday 2008

Product Overview:

Famed game developer Rare Ltd. is reviving one of its most beloved and successful franchises exclusively on Xbox 360 with the third installment of the “Banjo-Kazooie” series. “Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts” embraces new and old fans alike, as the famous bear and bird duo return in stunning high definition for a unique adventure of epic proportions. The Lord of the Games (aka LOG) is tired of the petty squabbling between Banjo and the evil witch Gruntilda (aka Grunty) over the years, and has arranged a showdown to decide the rightful owner of Spiral Mountain. Claiming to have created every video game ever made, LOG has built the game worlds in which the contest’s challenges take place. Banjo must complete LOG’s challenges to win, while Grunty tries to stop him using every method her devious mind can muster.

Throughout their adventure, players create their own abilities by building vehicles for Banjo to pilot over land, water and air. Vehicle parts, which range from simple devices such as engines and wheels to more unusual equipment such as springs and egg guns, are earned and collected throughout the game. Players use their imagination to combine parts in any order to create whatever vehicle they choose. LOG’s challenges have one goal, but players’ choice of vehicle and tactics will determine how they get there. By exploring worlds and solving puzzles, players both young and old will be rewarded with more advanced and diverse vehicle parts in their quest to defeat Grunty once and for all.

With the power of Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE, “Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts” brings an entirely new experience to the console and takes the franchise to a whole new level of enjoyment. High-definition graphics, user-created content and online gameplay are just three of the many advances people of all ages and skill levels will discover as they embark on their adventure.

Features:

Top features include the following:

  • An adventure that starts with your imagination. If you can imagine it, you can build it in the Mumbo’s Motors easy-to-use workshop. Then put your creation to the test as you take on Grunty in your quest for Spiral Mountain. Unlike other games, where the player progressively picks up new skills or abilities at points pre-determined by the game’s creator, “Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts” puts the power of improving Banjo’s abilities into the hands of the players as they build vehicles that allow Banjo to progress through the game. Vehicle parts include a wide variety of body panels, engines, wheels, wings, propellers, fuel and weapons, plus many more weird and wonderful gadgets such as floaters, Mumbo Bombos and the versatile sticky ball, from which players can design and create anything from a simple object-carrying truck to a space-age flying saucer. Once you’ve designed your creation, give it the finishing touch by painting it and choosing a suitable name before Banjo jumps in and pilots it into action.

  • Customizable experience. With more than 100 contraption parts and unlimited combinations possible, no two players will have the same experience in “Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.” By exploring the vast game worlds, discovering hidden secrets and solving puzzles to win rewards, players continually find more and more ways to customize and improve their contraptions, creating an unprecedented level of user-generated content for a 3-D platform adventure game.

  • Fun right out of the box. Don’t worry if you aren’t the world’s greatest inventor or want to skip the workshop and get straight to the action, because “Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts” comes with a fully loaded experience right out of the box. Pre-built vehicles are included so players can jump right in and get started, with many more contraptions available for purchase throughout the adventure using the in-game currency system of musical notes.

  • Engaging storyline and entertaining characters. Two of Rare’s most beloved characters have returned from retirement, making their debut on Xbox 360. To win the deed to their homeland and prevent the evil witch Gruntilda from developing it into tower blocks and malls, Banjo and his best friend Kazooie battle over land, sea and air against their longtime rival. Familiar faces such as Mumbo Jumbo, Bottles, Captain Blubber and the Jinjos are also back to lend a hand, along with an equally colorful cast of new friends and foes. Look out for Trophy Thomas, Piddles, Lord of the Games and Grunty’s mechanically menacing army of Gruntbots.

  • Enjoy alone or with friends. “Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts” offers complete single-player and multiplayer experiences. You can play through the adventure alone in the single-player campaign, or play with friends in competitive or cooperative challenges on your own or in teams.

  • Fun for everyone. Xbox 360 is the home to the best entertainment experiences for everyone. With “Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts,” Xbox 360 continues to build its impressive lineup of content that appeals to people of all ages and types.

Developer Information: Founded in 1985 and based in the United Kingdom, Rare Ltd. is one of the world’s leading video game developers and the mastermind behind some of the most popular video games in history, including multimillion-dollar sellers “GoldenEye 007,” “Perfect Dark,” “Banjo-Kazooie” and “Donkey Kong 64.” In November 2005, Rare released “Perfect Dark Zero,” “Kameo: Elements of Power” and “Viva Piñata” for Xbox 360. Free download Metal Gear Solid encyclopedia

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH unveils free download encyclopedia to complement Metal Gear Solid 4 - Guns of the Patriots.

Following the release of its eagerly-awaited Metal Gear Solid 4 - Guns of the Patriots title for PLAYSTATION 3, Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced a free download element entitled the Metal Gear Solid 4 Database which will be released via the PlayStation store on June 26th.
Designed as a complement to the long-running Metal Gear Solid series, the Metal Gear Solid 4 Database is a comprehensive archive detailing characters, weapons and plot elements from 1987’s original Metal Gear title right through to the most recent Metal Gear Solid 4 - Guns of the Patriots.

The easy to use system allows users to search via three central hubs: GENE (a glossary), MEME (which maps the relationships between characters in the series), and SCENE (a timeline for the series). Users can jump from page to page using specific keywords, with the relevant information appearing instantly. All information relating to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, however, can only be accessed when the software detects a save data file created when the game has been completed, as to avoid spoiling the final adventure.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Database is a stunning – and completely free – companion to the series, and will answer any question pertaining to Hideo Kojima’s games and characters.
