Yakuza: Like a Dragon Next Step in the Acclaimed Yakuza Series TGS 2019

The latest entry in the RGG / Yakuza series, Yakuza: Like a Dragon (Japanese title - Ryu Ga Gotoku 7) is releasing in Japan on January 16, 2020, for the PlayStation 4, with a Western launch planned for 2020. Actors Shinichi Tsutsumi, Ken Yasuda, and Kiichi Nakai will be lending their appearances and voices to the game's main cast members, with Kazuhiro Nakaya voicing the game's main protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga.


Yakuza: Like a Dragon introduces a new main protagonist for the first time since the series' inception over a decade ago - Ichiban Kasuga, a low-level yakuza member looking to prove his self-worth, and follows him and his motley crew of unlikely allies as they attempt to rise from rags to riches in this modern human drama.

Capcom Unveils Project Resistance; a New Experience Set in the Resident Evil Universe

A new type of survival horror set in the Resident Evil universe, Project Resistance (working title). This asymmetric online five-person multiplayer game combines both cooperative and competitive dynamics, with the opportunity for players to create their own survival horror experience.


Four Survivors must work together to escape an insidious experiment and outsmart the twisted Mastermind behind the scenes. Capcom is developing Project Resistance in partnership with NeoBards Entertainment, utilising the proprietary RE Engine known for high quality gameplay and remarkable visual fidelity in games such as Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5. It is currently being developed for the PlayStation 4 , the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, and Steam.

Insurgency: Sandstorm – The Frontline Update released - PC link

Insurgency: Sandstorm, the smash-hit indie FPS from New World Interactive, officially releases its Frontline update, bringing a host of new features dedicated to streamlining matchmaking and offering fresh content on a weekly basis. The two defining features of this update are Frontline, an intense tug-of-war style PvP mode, and Hillside, a reimagining of the classic Insurgency map ‘Sinjar’.


In the new PvP mode, Frontline, teams must capture all enemy objectives one by one, before destroying the final weapon cache objective to win, whilst at the same time protecting their own objectives. Each match becomes a large-scale, simultaneous attack-and-defend battle, with fire support, vehicles, and teams battling it out for objectives that award respawns for their team.

Street Fighter V Joins World Open Tournament Series

Intel, a leader in gaming technology, announced the Intel World Open tournament that will take place in Tokyo ahead of the Olympic Summer Games next year to showcase the excitement and influence of esports.


Intel will host the Intel World Open in the lead up to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, featuring Street Fighter V.

Civilization VI: Red Death is a brand-new multiplayer mode where up to 12 players compete in a free-for-all battle to escape a dying planet that is engulfed in the Red Death – a growing storm of radioactivity.

biggest update to date is a game changer Enter a new era of Ylands with Playful Platform

Newest update launches Ylands into a new stage of its evolution. With a brand new way to play the game, improvements for both players and creators, a way for creators to monetise their creations, and the launch of the player-run economy – update 0.14 ushers in a new era of Ylands.


With this update, we really concentrated on pursuing the dream of turning Ylands into an engine that runs on players' creativity. With every update, we have added bigger and better ways for creators to bring their ideas to life, but with 0.14 we have doubled down and focused on turning Ylands into a powerhouse for creators and a treasure trove for players.

Main features of update 0.14 – Playful Platform:

  • Creation platform: with a new way to handle dedicated servers, persistent player progressions, workshop and editor improvements – a new player-driven era is upon Ylands
  • Monetisation: just by attaching a single logic block to any element in the Editor, creators can monetise any aspect of their creation. We leave it completely up to them where, why, and how they put their price tags
  • Custom UI editor: with this newest addition to the suite of Editor tools, creators can whip up a whole new graphical user interface within seconds, to fit their custom games
  • Playlands: a gorgeous new playground for players to experience – this new map not only houses the new mini-games, but is also home to many secrets and nifty little details for players to find
  • Mini-games: a new way to play Ylands – these short multiplayer games can be completed within minutes, perfect for a quick fix of Ylands, to gain some XP, and level up your account
  • Fashion room: found in the Playlands, the go-to place to refresh your wardrobe and show off the classy attire you've acquired from leveling up
  • New AI and graphical enhancement: every creature (and player model) received a visual overhaul to complement their new vicious closer-to-reality artificial intelligence

And of course, the update also brings a slew of fixes, improvements, and additions to existing game systems.
