Tactical team shooter Warface release for free on PS4 - Starter Packs and DLC plans

Global publisher My.com proudly announces that its modern military shooter phenomenon Warface is available worldwide on the PlayStation 4. PS4 owners can now download the free-to-play title from the PlayStation store and enlist in the renowned ranks of the Warface faction. With an impressive arsenal of competitive game modes, players can jump straight into action or join with up to four friends to take down the tactically advanced forces of AI controlled Blackwood faction. Additionally, the team revealed new details for the game’s upcoming DLC.

PS4 owners finally can experience Warface’s full range of gameplay options first hand. PvE fans will enjoy the variety of challenging co-op raids, such as Anubis, The HQ, Blackout and Earthshaker, each with their own mission goals and exotic locations.

Abertay hybrid game designers appeal for Kickstarter backing

An Abertay University graduate games studio has launched a Kickstarter funding bid to market their unique hybrid tabletop game.

Wrench Games are looking for funding to push Blind Wizard Brawl, a real world and digital game in which players create spells and bluff their way to victory using both cards and a mobile app.

The concept was initially created by Computer Arts graduate JL Brady for an Abertay honours project investigating hybridised games.

Call of Duty World League biggest season yet...

The Call of Duty World League, Presented by PlayStation 4, unveiled plans for an all-new season of the CWL, which will feature the highly-anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The upcoming season will usher in a new level of competition featuring five vs. five team play, single season CWL Pro League format, a dedicated amateur circuit featuring its own prizing and the largest overall purse in league history of $6 million. The action will kick-off following Call of Duty:Black Ops 4’s release on October 12, with the first high-profile LAN competition scheduled to take place Dec. 7 – 9th in Las Vegas.

Shrouded in intrigue and darkness, psychological virtual reality (VR) thriller Blind is now available for players to uncover its secrets on PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, HTC VIVE, and Open Source Virtual Reality.

From developer Tiny Bull Studios and indie label Fellow Traveller (previously Surprise Attack Games), Blind offers hair-raising gameplay filled with challenging puzzles and exploration of the unknown.

PlayStation Classic Dimensions world prices and Tech Spec release date

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) today announced that PlayStation Classic, a miniature games console that mirrors the look of the original PlayStation and comes preloaded with 20 original games, will launch in limited quantities on December 3, 2018, in Japan, North America and Europe. PlayStation Classic will be available*1 in the UK at a £89.99.

The original PlayStation made its debut in Japan on December 3, 1994, and with landmark innovations such as enabling real-time 3DCG rendering and adopting CD-ROMs had a huge impact on the games industry in the 1990s and beyond.

The console comes pre-loaded with 20 classic games, including Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, R4 Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms.

The mini console is 45 per cent smaller than the original PlayStation Classic, but still holds on to the original’s look and feel, and even has similar packaging.
