Dead Rising 2 - Case Zero video game this August Xbox LIVE Exclusive

Capcom confirm that Dead Rising 2: CASE ZERO, will be available on August 31st exclusively to Xbox 360 gamers via Xbox Live Arcade online gaming service from Microsoft at a cost of 400MPs. A unique and stand alone piece of content, Dead Rising 2: CASE ZERO acts as a prologue, introducing players to the main protagonist, Chuck Greene and provides a glimpse of the action to come when Dead Rising 2 releases in North America on September 28th, Japan on September 30th and throughout European and Australian territories on October 1st.

More speakers confirmed for Edinburgh Interactive 2010

Edinburgh Interactive 2010 today announced further speakers for this year’s conference and public game screening sessions. Nicholas Lovell, GAMESbrief contributor and non-executive director at nDreams will be involved in a conference session on changing media consumption; and David Ratcliff, founder of MusicMyne will offer the attendees an innovative screening session on how MusicMyne is set to change the way music is consumed.

'Echo Bazaar' browser based video game to be released on Facebook

What is Echo Bazaar? Well, The Guardian calls it “A beautifully moody and lusciously written faux-Victorian game.” The setting is an alternative 19th century London that exists a mile beneath the surface of the earth, where laudanum-sipping hedonists rub shoulders with romantic devils and rubbery squid-men. Echo Bazaar is an unholy combination of casual browser game, choose-your-own-adventure book and quasi-steampunk MMO. It’s the first project from developers Failbetter Games.

SEGA of America, Inc. announced its Space Harrier II and Ecco the Dolphin apps are now available on the App Store. The release is part of the SEGA Genesis Series of apps being released this summer for iPhone and iPod touch.
