Tetris Party Deluxe launches for both Nintendo DS and Wii

More than 25 years after the launch of the first-ever Tetris game, Tetris Party Deluxe will be launched on 3rd September across Europe for both Nintendo DS and Wii. This new version of Tetris Party will thrill both old-time Tetris fans and newcomers to the genre, as more than 20 modes, online battles and multi-player action have been squeezed into this fun-packed game.

New Xbox 360 console sells more than PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii combined

Nearly 200,000 Xbox 360s have been sold from 11th to 17th of July compared that to 116,000 for the Nintendo DS, 64,000 for the Nintendo Wii, 57,000 for the PlayStation 3 and 34,000 for the PSP console.

Vindictus video game demo Playable at Comic-Con

First playable demonstrations of Vindictus, the first physics-based action multi-player online action role-playing game. Nexon America will be at the Gaming University booth, #4445, with demo stations set up for the first hands-on of Vindictus offered to the public.

Commander: Conquest of the Americas video game heads for digital download with exclusive bonus

Upcoming naval strategy title, Commander: Conquest of the Americas, is on its way to digital distribution outlets. Including an exclusive bonus, pre-orders for the game will receive three extra ships, three new resources, seven new historical Commanders (one for each nation) and three new historical naval battles.

Scottish Wrestling Entertainment Re-enacts Final Fight for Proper Games (Watch the Video)

At the recent launch party for Final Fight: Double Impact, games developer Proper Games enlisted some help from Scottish Wrestling Entertainment (SWE). The wrestlers, including Bravehart and Chaz Phoenix, performed an hour long show for the Dundee games development community in celebration of the Final Fight release.



The crowd of more than one-hundred people enjoyed pizza and beer and got the chance to play the game before the SWE entertained with their brand of over-the-top action. The evening culminated with a Final Fight themed Battle Royale starring the likes of Cody, Andore, Poison, Belger and, of course, Haggar.

Attending the party were developers from nearly all of the Dundee companies including Ruffian, Realtime Worlds, Cohort, Tag, Denki, Digital Goldfish, as well as games professionals from around Scotland and students from the local games development degree programmes.

SWE frequently perform wrestling events around Scotland and are soon to hold their annual ‘Hell For Lycra’ event in Dundee.
