Warner Bros and MTV Games announce that LEGO Rock Band will feature the likeness of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and multi-platinum selling group Queen. SouthPeak Games announce that it will be publishing Sled Shred for Nintendo Wii. Focused on downhill sled racing on everything from tubes and toboggans to discs and bobsleds, Sled Shred promises to give players a thrilling experience as they try and earn their way into the World Winter Games, racing with and against the world-renowned Jamaican Bobsled team. Sled Shred is scheduled for release in fall 2009.
Eight is great for gamers this week as Nintendo adds eight new titles to its ever-growing library of downloadable games. First on the list is LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias, a follow-up to one of the most popular releases on the WiiWare service. Next, Shootanto: Evolutionary Mayhem makes survival of the fittest the law of the land. Meanwhile, Nintendo DSiWare welcomes Domo, a strange creature who hatched from an egg. Also known as the popular mascot of Japan's NHK television station, Domo stars in five separate new Nintendo DSiWare games. Topping it off is RYGAR, a 1980s arcade gem making its Virtual Console debut.
Iceberg Interactive and Tripwire Interactive are pleased to announce the “Level Up” Free Content pack for Killing Floor. This massive new content pack will be the largest free content pack to date and will be available October 22nd for anyone that owns Killing Floor. To celebrate and to allow as many people as possible to try it out, in cooperation with Tripwire and Steam there will also be running a free weekend on Steam from Thursday October 22nd through Sunday October 25th.
