New Stunt Pilot 2 PC video game lets you build your own customised Levels

Microsoft lower price of Xbox 360 - in Japan

Microsoft will lower the price of the Xbox 360 Arcade model by 8,000 yen ($73.92) to 19,800 yen. The Arcade does not come equipped with a hard drive and is the least expensive of the three Xbox 360 models, the Nikkei said.

The new price will make the machine cheaper than Nintendo’s Wii, which sells for about 25,000 yen, and the PlayStation 3, which sells for 39,800 yen.

New video game demos Hit XBox Live

Ultimate Fighting Championship 2009 Xbox LIVEIf you haven't been paying attention lately you might have missed the demos that have just recently appeared on XBox Live. The first in this group of demos to appear was for the upcoming UFC 2009 Undisputed title.

This demo features Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. Experience an "...authentic and comprehensive UFC atmosphere".

The second demo that recently hit XBox Live was for the recently released X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This demo has you going through one of the first areas in the game giving you a taste of the mayhem you will inflict throughout your adventure.

The third demo that was put up is for the upcoming title, Battlestations Pacific. This demo contains one mission from the U.S. campaign as well as two multiplayer modes available to play in single player only against the A.I. The full version of the game will feature two single player campaigns with 28 missions total, over 100 air, sea and undersea units and five new multiplayer modes that can by played with up to 8 players.

Ultima Online - Stygian Abyss video game coming Summer 2009

Mythic Entertainment, an Electronic Arts, today officially announced Ultima Online - Stygian Abyss the upcoming expansion to legendary MMORPG Ultima Online. Slated for release this summer, Stygian Abyss will be the eighth expansion to one of the longest-running MMORPGs in the genre’s history. The expansion will introduce a flood of new content for the citizens of Britannia to explore and conquer.

Stygian Abyss revolves around the introduction of the playable Gargoyle race. Since taking center stage in the original Ultima series, Gargoyles have been a fascinating part of the Ultima story – now, Ultima Online players can enjoy Gargoyles firsthand, with a variety of unique skills, including Throwing, Imbuing and Mysticism.

“Ultima Online has a unique place in the history of online games – it was the first truly successful MMORPG and it showed that there was a real market for these types of games,” said Mark Jacobs, vice president and general manager of Mythic Entertainment. “UO is still going strong and we can’t wait to throw open the gates to the Stygian Abyss.”

Gardening Mama demo announced for Nintendo DS

Gardening Mama demo announcedGamers of a green-fingered persuasion will be able to sample the latest in the Mama series early when the Gardening Mama demo goes live on Nintendo’s Wii channel.

Available from 24th April, the demo will be available to download and transfer to DS via Wi-Fi connection.

The demo gives players a sample plant to grow and demonstrates ten stages of game play, which include sorting the bulbs, tilling the soil, applying serum and spraying for pesky creepy crawlies.


As has become the series trademark, all stages are conducted under the watchful eye of Mama, who will save the day should your gardening skills abandon you at the crucial moment.

Gardening Mama hails from the same developer as the famed Cooking Mama series of games, the original of which has gone on to ship well over 1.5 million copies and counting. The accessible and colourful nature of this quintessentially Japanese series has made the eponymous ‘Mama’ an instantly recognisable favorite amongst casual gamers and Japanophiles alike.

The full version of Gardening Mama will be available from 1st May exclusively for Nintendo DS.
