It’s finally time to experience the magic of Ōkami as it was always meant to be played. Capcom’s award winning game -- hailed as “Game of the Year” for 2006 by multiple magazines and websites including Associated Press, PSM, Village Voice, IGN.com, Game Revolution and more -- is set for release on the Wii home video game system in Spring 2008. Story includes video footage.
The purpose of the Creature Creator, which goes on sale June 17 for $10, is to give the world a taste of the main characters of Spore. That, and to flood the game with user-made content long before it actually hits store shelves.
While rumored to be rejected in the late 80s, Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa is definitely good enough for North America 20 years after it originally came out on the Famicom Disc System.
Blue Oasis is coming out sooner than expected and the WiiWare aquarium simulator may arrive in regions other than Japan.
The Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (aka USK, Germany's ESRB equivlent) rated a Wii game known as My Aquarium with Hudson as the publisher.
I always presumed Hudson would release Blue Oasis and their other WiiWare games internationally, but this looks like a good sign that Wii owners in Europe will get to care for virtual fish with a wave of the Wii remote.
When Hudson announced their lineup of WiiWare games, Tetris Online was scheduled to come out in Japan this July. Now, Tetris Party (note the name change) won’t be coming out until sometime in 2008 in Japan. Hudson didn’t give any reason for the delay, but I seriously wonder if they’re planning to implement Balance Board support in the game as we previously discussed.
Meanwhile, Blue Oasis, a relaxing game where players raise fish is suddenly coming out in June. Blue Oasis: Uo no Iyashi Kuukan (Blue Oasis: Reliving Room of Fish) previously had a floating 2008 release date. When Blue Oasis comes out on June 24, Wii owners can add fish to their virtual aquarium for 500 Wii Points ($5).
Continuing its winning spree, Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s Wii gaming console again emerged as the clear winner among the trio of next generation gaming consoles in sales after selling 675,089 Wii video game consoles in May, repeatedly outselling both its rivals Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation 3 in the US video game consoles market.
According to the fresh sales data provided by NPD Group., the immensely popular Wii had sales of 675,089 units. And, the extremely popular handheld, the DS had sales of 452,608 during the four-week sales period of May 4th to May 31st, ahead of Sony's PlayStation Portable, or PSP, with 182,300 units.
The more-powerful systems PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 from Sony Corp. and Microsoft Corp. respectively, lagged behind in the fierce battle for dominance in the booming gaming consoles market, however, their sales figures are not much disappointing.
Liberty City is one of the single most impressive achievements in gaming. It's just too bad that Rockstar layered a repetitive, glitchy game on top of it. Read Five reason this website thinks it deserved better coding.
The most complete scenery upgrade for Flight Simulator X yet. Professional quality data means new roads, rivers, coastlines, railways and urban environments bring a new level of realism – day and night!
Label: Flight1 Developer: Scenery Solutions Genre: Flight Simulator Expansion Format: PC DVD-ROM Release: April 2008 SRP: £29.99 / €39.95
Ultimate Terrain for FS2004 was a critical success and multiple award-winner…
Expect no less with this incredible all-new development for FSX!
The Ultimate Scenery Expansion!
Ultimate Terrain X has been designed from the ground up to take advantage of the new technologies in FSX, and provides the most superior and complete large terrain environment to date.
Using only the very highest quality commercial-source data, Ultimate Terrain X takes FSX’s terrain environment to new levels not seen before in a PC-based flight simulator.
Roads, rivers, streams, bridges, landclass, waterclass, and more are packed into Ultimate Terrain X transforming FSX both day and night!
Thought FSX was good? Ultimate Terrain is even better
The roads in FSX are a big improvement over FS2004. However, Ultimate Terrain X takes the roads one step further, by providing all the available road types from the TeleAtlas commercial data set, instead of just highways and most major roads as you get with the default sim.
Ultimate Terrain X’s road textures are very high resolution, matching FSX’s 1m landclass textures. Plus, the Ultimate Terrain X road texture types can be custom-configured.
Having improved road textures is nice. But what really make roads stand out with Ultimate Terrain X is the attention to detail, using road encasements and custom ground polygons for the interchange areas. This makes a huge difference in the urban road appearances.
For every major road and highway that crosses a water feature in Ultimate Terrain X, a 3D bridge is displayed. There are thousands of these bridge features in the USA alone.
Even dark tunnel entrances for those roads that disappear underground are included.
If you like the look of the moving road traffic in FSX, you will love the moving traffic in Ultimate Terrain X. Ultimate Terrain X greatly expands the moving traffic coverage areas in FSX.
Shorelines, Coastlines, Rivers, Streams
Anyone familiar with the previous editions of Ultimate Terrain knows that the product uses premium commercial water data available for each region. This water data is the most accurate and detailed data available at any cost.
Ultimate Terrain X takes coastlines to a whole new level, by including higher resolution rocky coastline textures, sandy beaches, concrete piers, freshwater dams, and man-made breakers. The coastline textures blend the edges of the water bodies with the land.
All oceanic coastlines have been classified by hand to give them a more appropriate look.
In the major metropolitan areas, FSX improved the body accuracy and details compared to FS2004. But outside of the metropolitan areas, there are still major missing water features and inaccurately positioned features. Ultimate Terrain X adds detailed water features throughout the entire region!
In addition to the quality source data, brand new water features add more variety to the coastlines with waterclass options that will change the water colour associated with lakes, rivers and oceans.
Ultimate Terrain X also takes advantage of Flight1’s new "Radial Elevation Theory" algorithm, which allows for nicely channelled rivers that cut right through areas of extreme elevation changes. This new algorithm virtually eliminates the sloping water problems that are common with terrain hugging rivers in Flight Simulator.
Water, water everywhere
Ultimate Terrain X dramatically improves the accuracy of cities in FSX using Flight1’s proprietary "Synthetic Landclass" generation system, which generates urban landclass based on recent commercial data sources.
This makes urban sprawls or rolling countryside and woodland appear just as it should - making visual flight even more compelling whatever the season.
Waterclass options are a unique feature of Ultimate Terrain X that controls the coloring and style of the water features for various locations around the world. Ultimate Terrain enhances the default FSX water by providing new water textures giving new blues, greens and browns as you’d see in real life.
Water colors can vary dramatically between seasons. And, many users have different opinions on how their water environment should look. Ultimate Terrain X is powerful enough for users to control their environment with multiple options.
Railways
Railways are improved using higher resolution textures, railroad track encasement textures, railyard ground textures, and tunnel entrances.
A 3D bridge object is also placed where all railroad tracks cross water.
Night Lighting
Ultimate Terrain X night lighting consists of points of light that represent things like street lights, intersection lights, and vehicle lights. They look great!
Improvements with Ultimate Terrain X gives: brighter lights against the very bright FSX background, prevent autogen reduction, eliminates "floating lights" from differing mesh products.
Ground Textures
Ultimate Terrain X includes unique custom ground textures for specialized areas:
Beaches – Glaciers – Cemeteries - Highway Interchanges - Tunnel Entrances - Railroad Yards - Small Islands - Parking Lots - Grassy, Forest, or Concrete areas for landmark features.
Object Repositioning
To make sure that the current custom FSX objects line up with the new scenery data, Ultimate Terrain X repositions many objects to better align with road and water features. This includes things like buildings, ships, docks, and custom bridge objects (e.g. the Golden Gate Bridge).
Ultimate Terrain Setup Tool – for the ultimate control
Ultimate Terrain X was designed from the ground up, to provide a near total configurable environment.
Advanced users will marvel at the fact that they can have different textures assigned to nearly every Ultimate Terrain feature. For example, you can change the sizes of things like stream widths, road widths and coastline widths using the new Setup Tool.
The tool also allows novice users to get up and running quickly whilst letting the advanced user have unprecedented configurability over their Flight Simulator X environment.

Yes, I’m British. I spell “rumour” with two u’s. What U going to do about it? Well hopefully you’ll have no time to do anything, because either you’ll be embedded in Snake’s final mission on the Playstation 3, or engrossed in one of Snake’s first on the Xbox 360.
Remember when Pokemon Battle Revolution had the option to use the DS as a controller? That was a neat use of connective technology and developers seemed to forget about it. Educational software creator, IE Institute didn’t.
