Emberville will feature the voice acting talents of Doug Cockle, Alex Jordan, and more to come.
Emberville has more than doubled its wishlists and has skyrocketed past 275K, and the momentum keeps on rolling. Not bad for an indie game most hadn't heard of before last week.
A charming and ambitious combination of a challenging ARPG alongside the cozy satisfaction of a town/farm sim, many have described Emberville as Diablo-lite meets Stardew Valley, which is stellar company indeed! Featuring truly stunning pixel art and sporting a stacked cast of characters on board for VO (like Alex Jordan and Doug Cockle, with more to be revealed!), Emberville is one to watch!
For now, check out the trailer below if you haven't seen it yet, and be sure to watchlist the game on Terminals to stay on top of demo access and our Summer 2026 Early Access launch.
Emberville, will come to Early Access this summer on Steam. The action-adventure RPG goes beyond the conventional expectations of similar “farm & fight’’ games, with a simple-yet-deep combat system, an inherited skill leveling system, and challenging boss fights, and the new gameplay trailer offers players a glimpse of what to expect.
In development since 2023, the game attracted the attention and a partnership with popular gaming Twitch streamer, CohhCarnage, who has been heavily involved in the co-creation of the game hand-in-hand with the development team, saying, “Emberville is an amalgamation of everything we love, combined with new, fun, and immersive mechanics designed to make it stand out. It’s made by gamers, for gamers. We can’t wait for you to take this journey with us, because it’s been one hell of an adventure over the last few years.”
Cygnus Cross has also confirmed today that Alex Jordan and Doug Cockle are the first of many beloved voice actors who will lend their talents to as of yet un-named characters in the game, with many more to come as the game will be fully voiced.
Customisation is key in Emberville. From cross-class combat skills to a full creative building area, players are encouraged to play their way. Building on the two-button combat system, Emberville offers a weapon-bound combo system in addition to class-related skills. Unlock new combos for a variety of weapons and chain different types of attacks to unleash devastating strikes on enemies. Learning skills from leveling multiple classes allows the player to tailor the active combat class for a unique playstyle.
The creative area gives players a location to place buildings, decorations, farms, crafting equipment, and more, with many items and buildings offering further customization options. To ease inventory management between tasks like farming, fishing, building, and combat, Emberville features a dynamic UI system, which adjusts the HUD seamlessly when approaching areas for each task.
Emberville will offer players an ambitious combination of game systems and mechanics that go far beyond the traditional staples of basic resource gathering and combat that “fight and farm” games are well known for. The leveling system in the game will let players not only swap between different classes, but also allow them to inherit active and passive abilities from that leveled class into a new one, which will allow for flexibility and creativity as each player can find a combination that is unique to their playstyle.
