Electrogical video game Math is Power Jigsaw Puzzler

Electrogical, the mathematical jigsaw puzzle game developed by kinjo and published by Phoenixx Inc. which won Bandai Namco’s March 2023 GYAAR Studio Indie Game Contest, flips the switch for its Early Access Launch on November 21 on PC via Steam. Reconnect reactors on an aging space fleet in desperate need of repairs. Solve perplexing circuit board brain teasers by connecting a variety of jigsaw-shaped computer chips, each able to add, subtract, and multiply power levels. Utilize radio wave chips to transmit voltage across long distances and alter each piece’s orientation to change the direction of electricity flow. Match the exact energy requirements to advance, and earn extra points by finding multiple solutions to every puzzle. Electrogical, the arithmetic-based jigsaw puzzle game developed by kinjo and published by Phoenixx Inc., and selected as the award winner of the First GYAAR Studio Indie Game Contest hosted by Bandai Namco Entertainment and Bandai Namco Studios, energizes a launch date for PC via Steam on Thursday, November 21st, 2024. Interstellar travel presents unprecedented challenges, and an aging intergalactic terraforming armada requires maintenance to continue the decades-long mission. As an engineer, refurbish the inner workings of each ship by performing puzzling mathematical repairs, and reconnect power reactors to neko, a superconductive life form able to restore functionality to the fleet. Channel the perfect amount of electricity across circuit boards by using a variety of jigsaw-style computer chips with different functionalities. Positive and negative pieces increase and decrease power, multiplier chips can double or triple power quantities, and radio wave chips teleport power across disconnected locations. After placing each tile, hit the power button and monitor the flow of energy from start to finish. Alter the orientation of each puzzle piece to change the direction of power flow, and mix in “zero” tiles that neither add nor subtract from current energy levels. Mired in a mathematical mess? Activate the “hint” function for assistance on each repair. Some circuit boards are only solvable one way, while others feature multiple chip placements that lead to victory. Earn extra points for achieving different completion states by using all available tiles, by solving puzzles with additional tiles remaining, or by fashioning a perfectly square-shaped solution. “We’re immensely grateful for the feedback we’ve received from the Electrogical community and players at events like BitSummit and Tokyo Game Show,” said Yutaka Kinjo, solo developer at kinjo. “The journey from GYAAR Studio contest winner to launch has been a dream come true, and we have plans for much more content beyond 1.0. Stay tuned for more updates!” Electrogical arrives on PC via Steam on Thursday, November 21st, 2024 with language support options in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
