In Conception II, you're going to be needing a lot of Star Children to fight with you in battle. A LOT. You can bring up to nine of them into battle, and it will be up to your discretion to set up the teams in groups of threes. Because you'll be continually making these warriors, the Aterra Council of Star Children Safety* would like to remind you of the responsibilities this brings:
1) Making sure you have a strong bond with the heroine of your choice before making Star Children
2) Supporting your Star Children with the proper classes to ensure they don't get wiped out in the Labyrinths
So how can you go about accomplishing that? Well, it takes a lot of scrutiny to stat detail in order to maximize your party's offensive might. But remember, you have to have a full team of three Star Children before you can take it into the Labyrinth, so it's vital to keep interacting with the heroines and staying on their good sides!
You already know about the game's heroines. They all have their individual stat strengths, and these determine which Star Children they're able to make. Feene, for example, who excels in her defense stat, is a natural at making defensive units like the Paladin.
But with 30 Star Children classes to choose from, that means a lot of stats to balance, which is why it's critical to pick the right heroine when you head into a Labyrinth. To complicate matters, teams of the same type of Star Child can deal out extra damage, but this can open your team up to vulnerabilities. But there's plenty of experimentation you can do to find your perfect teams!
We'll be gradually introducing you to the rest of the units over the next couple of weeks, but here are a few classes the ATLUS staff has hand-picked as solid, all-around choices for your army of Star Children.
