Thanks for hanging in there while we're working on the patch everyone! The patch hasn't reached certification just yet, but we're getting very close. For now, let's talk about the new content!
As we've previously announced, the patch will contain a new character called Coco Nebulon. Coco is the first female to join the ranks of the Awesomenauts, and she is a fast-moving melee character with great crowd control abilities. Her first skill is a lightning ball that she can detonate mid-flight, with the resulting explosion knocking enemies away. This skill can be used to move players away, as well as knock them closer towards you to prevent their escape. Her second skill spews a trail of lightning particles from her hoverboard that slows and deals damage to enemies they hit. This is great for getting rid of pursuers or discouraging enemies to head into an area. As with the other Awesomenauts, there are a lot of neat tricks to discover with her and we're looking forward to see what you will come up with.
But Coco is not the only new character that’s coming with the patch... there will be a second new character as well! His name is Derpl Zork, and he plays very differently from Coco. We'll go into his skills in a future Community Address, but for now you can check him out in the enclosed artwork!
We also have a request. Coco and Derpl won't be the last characters to join the Awesomenauts, and we're working on new ones as we speak. Every new character will also be supplied with new descriptions, stories and items. And that's where you come in! We need help translating these texts into all languages Awesomenauts currently supports except for Dutch and English, so that leaves German, Italian, French and Spanish.
