The king of all Katamari games is rolling up fans all over Europe and the PAL regions as Katamari Forever goes on sale exclusively for the PLAYSTATION 3 video game and entertainment system. Bulging with a monstrous collection of stages, modes, songs, and cousins, remixes of the galactic smash hit Katamari Damacy tunes, a baffling original storyline, multiple new visual whistles and bells and 1080p HD graphics, Katamari Forever is an unmissable sensation.
“Only a gamer with a heart of cold stone could resist falling a little bit in love with the Katamari series of games,” said Hiroaki Ochiai, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing, NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe. “Katamari Forever takes the best of the rest and throws in tonnes of brilliant and bizarre new twists and turns to entertain the fans. If you haven't ever rolled up with the Prince, I recommend you try it, and this is the game to do it with.”
A terrible event has occurred causing the stars to disappear from the night sky and the King of All Cosmos to fall into a coma. The Prince must use his finely tuned Katamari rolling skills once more to re-create the absent celestial bodies, save his royal father and restore order to the Cosmos. Thumb tacks, sushi, cats, people, skyscrapers, ocean liners and continents – nothing is safe as the Prince rolls his way through the largest variety of stages ever in a single Katamari game.
Faithful to the oddball Katamari universe and its idiosyncratic yet strangely irresistible gameplay, players in Katamari Forever will use the Prince’s Katamari to roll up everyday objects from cats to combs. The more objects the Prince rolls up, the larger his Katamari becomes, allowing him to roll up even bigger items until no skyscraper or ocean liner is safe. In Katamari Forever the Prince faces his toughest challenge yet with more strange and sensational Katamari to roll up than ever before.
New graphical styles give Katamari Forever the certain bewitching “je ne sais quoi” that all Katamari games possess. Amongst the new styles available are Wood, which uses warm sepia tones to give stages an organic feel, and Comic, which outlines every object in black filled in with vibrant colours. Players can choose their own favourite style for a totally new way to experience the world of Katamari.
If that wasn't enough, Katamari Forever also features local cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. Choose your favourite cousin and play with or against friends and family in hot competition. Who can roll up the biggest celestial body made out of dogs and aeroplanes? It's time to find out.
