Arc System Works announce BlazBlue: Continuum Shift!


Arc System Works, the development team behind fighting games such as Guilty Gear and Hokuto no Ken, revealed information at Tokyo Games Show regarding their newest Franchise; BlazBlue. There had already been much speculation as to which characters would be unveiled, what alterations to gameplay mechanics/character move-sets we would be seeing, but let's take a look at what has been confirmed:


• Tsubaki Yayoi confirmed as playable, along with at least one other new character
• System changes (Unspecific as of yet)
• New HUD
• Old stages re-done, and new stages confirmed
• Tsubaki is a multi-hit character, beginner friendly
• Arcade version will feature an optional beginner mode (Easier moves, combos, etc.)
• New projectile for Carl & Nirvana
• Arakune gains a new way to curse
• New Distortion Drive for Rachel
• New dive attack for Ragna
• All other characters will receive new commands
• ν-13 is now known as "Λ-11 (Lambda)"

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is set for release in Japanese arcades later this year, with a console version soon after. Whether the updated content will be available for download or not is yet to be confirmed. More information regarding character specific upgrades and new content expected in the near future!
