83, upcoming 40v40 squad-based tactical first-person shooter set in an alternate 1983 where the Cold War escalated into an all-out warzone. The first in their Developer Tapes series, offering players an inside look at the game ahead of its Steam Early Access launch later this year.
A spiritual successor to Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, which many members of the studio worked on, ‘83 envisions a “what if?” scenario where the cold war went hot in an all-out conflict between NATO Forces and the Warsaw Pact. Players will fight across large, realistic battlefields, from fortified German farmlands to snowy Norwegian fjords. Guns behave like their real world counterparts, with the same ballistic modeling, penetration, recoil and weapon handling as the real thing. Uniforms, weaponry, and vehicles are all period appropriate creating an authentic vision of this alternate history battlefield.
