Dara O'Briain to host BAFTA game awards

BAFTA has announced today that Dara O’Briain will return to host the British Academy Games Awards on Thursday 12 April 2018. It will be the comedian’s eighth time hosting the ceremony that celebrates the very best in games of the past year.

For the first time, the British Academy Games Awards will be streamed live on all major platforms including BAFTA’s Twitch, Twitter (@BAFTAGames), YouTube, Facebook and Mixer. Through a new partnership with IGN, the awards will also be streamed to an additional 12 platforms including PlutoTV, Amazon Fire, AppleTV, Roku, PS4, Xbox, Mixer, Twitter and Facebook.

New ultra-hard mode in Game Dev Tycoon beat the pirates with DRM v1.6 - PC Mac Linux

To celebrate the mobile release of Game Dev Tycoon a new hard mode has been added to the 2013 game. The mode was previously only available to software pirates.

The new Pirate Mode was launched on March 8 in a patch. Players have to find ways to prevent loss of sales to piracy. You can add (DRM) digital rights management to your games protecting your games at the cost of angering fans.

Piracy has been featured in Game Dev Tycoon but not in the Steam version. Just after the game launch, Greenheart Games uploaded a “cracked” version of their game to torrent sites. This version had been altered making it impossible to win using piracy.

The 2018 Call of Duty World League makes an epic return to Atlanta beginning today with the CWL Atlanta Open, Presented by PlayStation 4. Over 170 teams from around the world will compete in Call of Duty: WWII on PlayStation 4 at the Georgia World Congress Center from March 9-11. This weekend's competition is a key stop during the CWL season, which has a $4.2 million overall prize purse up for grabs - the largest in Call of Duty esports history.

Over 170 teams in Atlanta will compete in the open competition for their chance to earn one of four coveted spots in the event pool. Those four remaining teams from the open bracket will then join sixteen pre-qualified teams to compete for their share of the $200,000 event prize pool at stake this weekend in Atlanta. Matches from throughout the three-day event will be available to watch live on MLG.com/CallofDuty and Twitch.tv/CallofDuty as well as via the in-game Call of Duty: WWII theater within Headquarters.
