Games Talks Live: Scotland Returns This Month in Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow

Short talks and networking for the Scottish games industry both live in person and FREE online.

After a two year ‘IRL’ hiatus, Games Talks Live: Scotland makes its long-awaited, in-person return this month with three dates confirmed in Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Created by industry veteran Colin Macdonald in 2018, the Games Talks Live: Scotland event is an evening of short talks from guest speakers interspersed with general networking opportunities, aimed at encouraging collaboration and communication between local Scottish developers and visiting guests.

The events run over three days, one in each of Scotland's games hubs of Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow

  (4pm till late at Beat Generator, 70 North Lindsay St, Dundee DD1 1PS )
• Thurs 10th March; Glasgow
  (4pm till late at Revolution, 84 Mitchell St, Glasgow G1 3NA)

Each evening will have an array of speakers from local developers, visiting publishers and others to be announced nearer the time. Speaking sessions will be interspersed with networking breaks to encourage everyone to get to know as many people as possible and help foster potential future collaborations. The golden rule of the event is there should be no recruitment activity - even from companies that are kindly sponsoring or speaking at the event.

When the high-ranking security officer saves you from prison, you end up a pawn in her schemes. Now you must eliminate anyone standing in the way of her secret plans and try to get your life back while working two jobs. No tenant, employee or superior is safe from your spying. A totalitarian state that controls everything and everyone through oppressive laws, total surveillance, and intimidation.

Dauntless Reach of Radiance - monstrous creatures - Behemoths that prey on the surviving humans

Dauntless takes place in a fantasy setting, where a cataclysmic event has torn the world apart, releasing monstrous creatures known as Behemoths that prey on the surviving humans. Players take on the role of Slayers to take down Behemoths, collecting loot that they use to craft and upgrade weapons and equipment as to take down larger and more powerful Behemoths.

While hunting, the game plays as a third-person action game; the player uses a combo system to attack the creature, while monitoring their own health and stamina gauge. Such hunts can take upwards of twenty minutes of in-game time to complete. The game can be played both as single-player, co-operatively in a party of up to four or in public cooperative instances of up to six people.

In Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes, players have to shoot, slam and smash their way through hordes of adorable, goofy zombies in this ingenious fusion of pinball and point defence. 

With 10 different heroes on their side, each with their own unique way of dealing with the oncoming zombie horde, players need to face eleven epic bosses. In order to take those down, skill is the only thing they can count on when pinball precision and careful ability management are a must
