Three Modding Community Maps Officially Added to Full Game Launch with More User-Generated Content Plans On The Way.

Community created content will be available in the full launch of Skater XL on July 28. Three new maps created by Skater XL modding community members - ‘Streets’ by Jean-Olive, ‘Hűdland Training Facility’ by Pactole, and the world debut of ‘Grant Skate Park’ by Theo - will be the first Skater XL modding content available on all platforms. Each map has also been given visual enhancements by Easy Day’s art team in collaboration with the map creator.

New 558M1RY & 278M1R Philips monitors take console gaming to the next level

The first is the 558M1RY which at 55 inches (139.7 cm) is the largest console gaming optimized monitor on the market, the second being the 278M1R, a 27-inch (68.6 cm) monitor designed for esports. The 558M1RY will bring a whole new dimension to gaming, boasting a 4K UHD resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, a specially designed speaker by Bowers & Wilkins, and Ambiglow which extends around the screen. The 278M1R is the first Philips monitor designed exclusively with esports players in mind, it’s 27 inches and is HDR Ready.

The Falconeer New Story Trailer Aerial Combat

A new story trailer for airborne ocean-world fantasy RPG The Falconeer. This trailer reveals the Seachantress (voiced by Tegen Hitchens) as the player’s main guide throughout the immersive world of the Ursee, sharing some of the world’s secrets. Viewers can also catch glimpses of third-person dogfighting gameplay, equipped with devastating ranged weaponry, in-game faction settlements, and the oceanic open-world landscape that players will traverse.

Soaring to release on Xbox One and PC via Steam in 2020, players can expect additional content and updates about The Falconeer’s development in the coming months, as independent one man developer Tomas Sala, and publisher Wired Productions work tirelessly to deliver this beautiful oceanic fantasy to the world.

BAFTA young game designer 2020 winners announced

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced the four winners of the 10th nationwide BAFTA Young Game Designers (YGD) competition. This year’s winners, selected by a jury of industry experts, were revealed at the first-ever digital ceremony, hosted by presenter Aoife Wilson.

BAFTA YGD discovers, showcases and supports Britain’s young games talent by providing access to some of the most creative minds in the industry, through a year-round programme of mentorship, workshops and networking. Further information can be found here.
