MU Online Season 13: Part 1 - August 21st release

MU Online is a full-3D MMORPG and one of the leading online games developed in Korea. A compelling fantasy RPG based on the legendary continent of MU, where players can choose from eight unique classes to embark on their adventures: Dark Knight, Fairy Elf, Dark Wizard, Summoner, Rage Fighter, Magic Gladiator, Dark Lord & Grow Lancer. MU Online is a pioneer of 3D MMORPGs and has established the basic framework that many online games continue to use today.

After the scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, August 21st, the Season 13: Part 1 content update will bring a host of new features into the game, including a new map ‘Swamp of Darkness’, 4th Wings, new Mastery weapons and armours, and Skill Enhance Tree System Improvement along with an increased level cap up to level 920.

The games exemplify the creativity found within the indie development community across Australia and New Zealand and will be prominently featured at the show. PAX Aus 2018 will take place 26-28 Oct. 2018 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Chosen from a huge assortment of submissions by a panel of industry veterans, the six games join the ranks of previous Showcase winners such as Hollow Knight, Hacknet and Objects in Space. The 2018 PAX Aus Indie Showcase will be featured on the exhibition floor as part of PAX Rising, an area dedicated to indie games. The Indie Showcase is a snapshot of the best of the local industry, oozing innovation, style, and technical mastery.

devcom presents Women In Games networking event for the first time

True to gamescom’s motto ‘diversity wins’, the organizers of the international developers conference devcom continue their work to champion diversity within the gaming industry. With Women in Games, devcom offers a forum to women who are already part of the gaming industry or who would like to gain a foothold within the industry for the first time.

The networking event takes place on Monday from 3:00 to 4:30 PM and offers guests from all fields the chance to get to know new people, to exchange information and to find out about new trends in the gaming industry. Furthermore, there will be a mentoring program with spontaneous sessions, where female industry veterans will answer questions about career planning, CVs and resumes. The event is open to everybody who is interested.
