devcom presents Women In Games networking event for the first time

True to gamescom’s motto ‘diversity wins’, the organizers of the international developers conference devcom continue their work to champion diversity within the gaming industry. With Women in Games, devcom offers a forum to women who are already part of the gaming industry or who would like to gain a foothold within the industry for the first time.

The networking event takes place on Monday from 3:00 to 4:30 PM and offers guests from all fields the chance to get to know new people, to exchange information and to find out about new trends in the gaming industry. Furthermore, there will be a mentoring program with spontaneous sessions, where female industry veterans will answer questions about career planning, CVs and resumes. The event is open to everybody who is interested.

Shenmue I & II - Shenmue 101: Meet the characters driving the epic saga

On August 21st, one of the sagas that defined modern gaming is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and new players will be able to experience one of the most defining series in gaming history.

In the meantime you can brush up on your Shenmue knowledge as we teamed up with Corey Marshall, the English-version voice actor of Ryo Hazuki, for a series of videos exploring the world of the Shenmue. Iron Harvest: This year’s most successful Kickstarter has a First Look demo

Iron Harvest, the classic RTS for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, set in the alternate reality of 1920+, which collected over $1,530,000 in its crowdfunding campaign earlier this year, now has a "First Look Alpha" demo for supporters.

The Alpha build features two game modes and 15 playable units:

A second Alpha demo, focussing on multiplayer, is scheduled for December, the release of the final game is planned near the end of 2019.

3D Platformer Tiny Hands Adventure released on Switch and Steam PC

For lovers of classic 3D platforming, indie publisher Blue Sunset Games and indie studio Funware are releasing Tiny Hands Adventure on Switch and Steam.

Tiny Hands Adventure is an old-school 3D platformer starred by a cute blue T-Rex named Borti. The game is inspired by classics such as Crash Bandicoot, Spyro and Ratchet and Clank. Lead Borti in his quest to find larger arms throughout 20 levels packed with obstacles, enemies and huge bosses.

Monster Hunter: World is available for digital purchase on PC via Steam. The title that released for console earlier this year to critical acclaim has since gone on to become Capcom’s best-selling game in company history with over 8 million units shipped globally.

In this entry, players take on larger than life monsters in a variety of vast, living, breathing ecosystems either solo or with up to three other hunters via online co-op, complete with drop-in functionality, a first for the series.
