The Elder Scrolls: Legends - January ‘Chaos Arena’ Special Event Now Live - PC iOS

The Chaos Arena monthly special event returns to The Elder Scrolls: Legends today as Sheogorath, the Elder Scrolls’ legendary Daedric Prince of Madness, takes over and brings the limited-time PvP mode back to the strategy card game. Chaos Arena alters competitive gameplay by introducing one or more random special scenarios or lane rules into each match. Players will need to adapt their strategies on the fly in every game, accounting for moving cards, surprising bonuses, and possibly crippling effects.

As an added bonus, players that log in to their The Elder Scrolls: Legends account during the event will receive a free card pack, regardless of whether they play Chaos Arena. Card packs will be delivered shortly after the event ends.

Dundee Scotland hosts biggest ever Global Game Jam

Abertay University is staging the biggest Global Game Jam event in its history signalling the start of celebrations to mark 20 years of video games courses.

A group of 220 students, graduates and Scottish games industry professionals arrived at the Dundee campus around 5pm on Friday January 20 to play their part in a worldwide 48-hour challenge that links China to the US and Macedonia to Mexico.

While engaging in operations around the globe, your XCOM soldiers will encounter new and more varied counter-operations from ADVENT forces. These new mission types support the expanded strategy layer within the Long War 2 mod and gives ADVENT new abilities like being able to spawn unlimited reinforcements during some missions.

Here are the new mission types:

• Jailbreak – XCOM must infiltrate an ADVENT jail and rescue key Resistance members. Success increases the strength of the Resistance in that region.
• Haven Defense – A variation on Retaliation missions where XCOM must defend Resistance members against an onslaught of ADVENT forces until the Skyranger can get into position for extraction.
