World of the Living Dead Zombie-apocalypse of LA County ends today



After a year of Open Beta, the decision has been made to close browser-based zombie survival strategy game World of the Living Dead this afternoon. They are also proud to announce that a completely rebuilt version of the game, WotLD: Resurrection, will launch later this summer.

Nordic Games has acquired Desperados and Silver from Atari


Desperados
Desperados are stealth-based real-time tactics computer games, developed by Spellbound and released in 2001 and 2006, respectively. In these games (Desperados – Wanted Dead or Alive; Desperados 2 – Cooper´s Revenge), the player controls various characters in a Wild West setting.

PlayStation 3 firmware 4.45 fix coming on June 27th


Sony will issue an updated version of firmware 4.45 on June 27 to solve issues that bricked some PlayStation 3 consoles. Sony say the firmware update 4.45 only broke a small number of PS3s.

If your console was bricked you'll have to manually update the fix just follow the steps Sony will post as soon as it's available on June 27th. You'll need a PC to download and a USB flash drive to transfer the update to your PlayStation 3.

Despicable Me: The video game - Wii DS PS2 PSP

3-D CGI feature film, Despicable Me video game is coming to Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, and PSP (PlayStationPortable) system. Developed in partnership with Universal Partnerships & Licensing and based on the upcoming feature film, Despicable Me: The Game lets players of all ages experience the thrill of being downright despicable, as they become Gru, one of the world’s greatest supervillains, and plan the biggest heist in history. Despicable Me: The Game is slated to ship worldwide to coincide with the international release of the movie.

Armikrog WiiU video game crowdfunding campaign


In the latest update from the team at Pencil Test Studios, they show off some of the design ideas for Armikrog on the WiiU (see example below). Nintendo approached the team about bringing the game to their platform and even fast-tracked Pencil Test's status as a developer!
