PlayStation 3 sales top 70 million units matching Xbox360

The PS3 reached the 70 million mark just before its 6th birthday, which was on November 11, 2012. According to the company, 15 million Move controllers have been sold, as well.  Plus 595 million copies of 3,590 game titles have shipped. In addition, there are more than 170,000 different downloadable content items and more than 57,000 downloadable games available for the PS3 via the PSN.
