This week's Nintendo video game downloads for Wii and DS

Eight is great for gamers this week as Nintendo adds eight new titles to its ever-growing library of downloadable games. First on the list is LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias, a follow-up to one of the most popular releases on the WiiWare service. Next, Shootanto: Evolutionary Mayhem makes survival of the fittest the law of the land. Meanwhile, Nintendo DSiWare welcomes Domo, a strange creature who hatched from an egg. Also known as the popular mascot of Japan's NHK television station, Domo stars in five separate new Nintendo DSiWare games. Topping it off is RYGAR, a 1980s arcade gem making its Virtual Console debut.

Level Up - Free Content Pack for Killing Floor Coming Soon

Iceberg Interactive and Tripwire Interactive are pleased to announce the “Level Up” Free Content pack for Killing Floor. This massive new content pack will be the largest free content pack to date and will be available October 22nd for anyone that owns Killing Floor. To celebrate and to allow as many people as possible to try it out, in cooperation with Tripwire and Steam there will also be running a free weekend on Steam from Thursday October 22nd through Sunday October 25th. Full details on the pack will be available in a detailed preview article on IGN on Tuesday October 20th, so watch for that one.

Shattered Horizon First In-Game Footage of Zero Gravity Shooter Revealed

Futuremark Games Studio today released a new trailer showing the first in-game footage from Shattered Horizon, their upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter for the PC. www.shatteredhorizon.com

In Shattered Horizon, a catastrophic explosion on the Moon has filled near-Earth space with billions of tons of rocky debris. Survivors on the Moon are forced into conflict with those trapped on the battered International Space Station. Teams of players fight in zero gravity to control the limited supplies that mean the difference between survival and death in the cold of space.

Vintage console game library now includes 3,200 legally playable games and a free version.

Apple MTV Games and Harmonix announce the launch of Abbey Road (1969) as the first Beatles album to be available for purchase and playable as downloadable content in The Beatles Rock Band Music Store.

With “Come Together,” “Something,” “Octopus’s Garden,” “I Want You (She’s So Heavy),” “Here Comes The Sun” and “The End” already included on The Beatles: Rock Band game disc, players will now be able to play songs from and complete the entire Abbey Road album.
