Rocket Racing video game on Xbox Live with tutorial and multiplayer videos

rocket racing cars crashes and exploding in top down view of gameRocket Racing has been released on Xbox Live Indie Games, available for purchase for 240 Microsoft Points. This is now the third game to be released under the Halfbrick Fridays range of casual games, and features a massive amount of content in one small download.

Halfbrick Rocket Racing uses a brand new analogue control system using just the left and right triggers. Press each one to power the rockets on each side of the racing craft, and alternate power between the two to turn and drift around over 40 tracks. The rockets will also serve to boost the craft off nearby walls, so the key to achieving the best times is to grind and slide around the perimeters of each track with speed and finesse.

Players can try over 40 unlockable tracks each with four medals to win, with race times uploaded to the Global Leaderboards to see where they rank against the rest of the world. Of course, the true value lies in multiplayer, with up to four players locally on one screen. With such intense speed, precise control and milliseconds between first and second place, multiplayer on Halfbrick Rocket Racing is an experience best served on the couch with likeminded speed freaks!
Check out the tutorial video narrated by Phil Larsen and Luke Muscat of Halfbrick, who explain the system of the game and walk the players through some of the earlier tracks.

Finally, the second official trailer with a huge variety of single and multiplayer footage:

Theatre of War 2- Kursk 1943 PC video game website launch

Theatre of War 2 - Kursk 1943Theatre of War 2: Kursk 1943 is a new game in the Theatre of War series of tactical World War II titles. Theatre of War 2 is considered to be one the most realistic simulations of modern battle ever played on a PC. The Battle of Kursk lasted for forty nine days, from July 5 till August 23, 1943 and has made its way into history as one of the most crucial conflicts of WWII.

It was the last strategic offensive the Germans were able to mount in the east. The resulting decisive Soviet victory gave the Red Army the strategic initiative for the rest of the war. From the first moment of the battle until the very last shell is fired players will be in charge of whichever side they choose. Players will have to carefully plan each conflict and work both tactically and strategically. The accomplishment of an objective will affect the outcome of the entire battle, for instance the player's detachment will move forward to the next battle, and so will their reinforcements, artillery and air support.

Theatre of War 2: Kursk 1943 will feature over 20 new story-based missions with realistic military commanders such as Lieutenant General Ivan Chistyakov and Major General Walter Hoerlein. 40 types of military weaponry (including air defense guns, missile launchers, mortars), new vehicles and thirty types of small arms will be available in both the single player campaigns and the brand new multiplayer modes. The title will also ship with a built-in campaign generator to create numerous game scenarios for amazing value and replayability.
