New game - Theatre of War 2 - Kursk 1943

Leading Eastern and Central European publisher 1C Company is excited to announce a new game in the Theatre of War series of tactical World War II titles. Theatre of War 2 is considered to be one the most realistic simulation of modern battle ever played on a PC. The new game is currently in development and is titled Theatre of War 2 - Kursk 1943.

The Battle of Kursk lasted for forty nine days, from July 5 till August 23, 1943 and has made its way into history as one of the most crucial conflicts of WWII. It was the last strategic offensive the Germans were able to mount in the east. The resulting decisive Soviet victory gave the Red Army the strategic initiative for the rest of the war.

The Motor Panzer Division "Greater Germany"and the 3rd Mechanized Corps of the USSR Army will face each other in two large-scale campaigns in southern Kursk. From the first moment of the battle until the very last shell is fired players will be in charge of whichever side they choose. Players will have to carefully plan each conflict and work both tactically and strategically. The accomplishment of an objective will affect the outcome of the entire battle like the direction the player's detachment will be forwarded in the next combat, and also so will their reinforcements, artillery and air support. The game will feature over 20 new story-based missions with realistic military commanders such as Lieutenant General Ivan Chistyakov and Major General Walter Hoerlein. 40 types of military weaponry (including air defense guns, missile launchers, mortars), new vehicles and thirty types of small arms will be available in both the single player campaigns and the brand new multi player modes. The title will also ship with a built-in campaign generator to create numerous game scenarios for amazing value and replayability.

Alice's Adventures In Wonderland MMO Game Announced for PC!

Virtual Fairground (www.virtualfairground.com) announce that it is developing Wonderland MMO (www.wonderlandmmo.com), a virtual world and MMO game for teenage girls based on the famous story Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.

Wonderland MMO started development in 2008 and is set for launch mid-2010. As is the case with Virtual Fairground’s other MMO game production Club Galactik (www.clubgalactik.com), the world and game are entirely Flash-based and will run directly from any browser.

Fallout 3 Mothership Zeta download comes to your Xbox 360 this week

Fallout 3 is getting one last piece of DLC called Mothership Zeta this week. This DLC actually takes on a sci-fi look and is totally different than what we have become accustomed to in the Capital Wastelands. In an interview, Fallout 3 DLC Producer Jeff Gardiner describes the new DLC...

"Mothership Zeta begins with the player being abducted and held captive aboard a huge Alien craft hovering high above the Earth. The player will have to escape the craft; along the way they’ll meet other captives, have to solve difficult puzzles and secure new high-tech weaponry to employ against their captors."

If you have bought Fallout 3 and all the DLC episodes...."Operation: Anchorage", "The Pitt" , "Broken Steel", "Point Lookout" and "Mothership Zeta", this becomes around a 100 hour game, not to mention a $110 dollar game. But in all honesty, I would say that Fallout 3 deserves to be a contender for one of the greatest games of all time...
