Tongass Fjords X returns Alaska back to the flightsimmers, after Microsoft missed a beat in that particular area of the world. So what is Tongass Fjords X ?

Tongass Fjords X is an addition to Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X that will turn a large part of southeast Alaska and northwestern British Columbia (some 80,000 square kilometers!) into the beautiful piece of nature that it really is!

You get a flying environment that puts you in the pilot seat flying around some of the most stunning landscapes you may find in the real world.

You not only get the ACTUAL coast lines, lakes, islands, roads, rivers and glaciers (!) installed on your FSX, but in addition some very talented people have added "things to see and things to find" for you in that rugged area of fjords, mountains, lakes and sea.

SaintXi Releases Light of Altair video game Patch 1.01

SaintXi, an independent games studio, today released the first patch to their addictive new 3D simulation game - Light of Altair. This update will help you plan your battle strategies with a new ETA timer for enemy attack fleets, and also lets you deselect the current building for construction.

A number of gameplay and mission glitches were also smoothed out for version 1.01.

Steam, Impulse, and Archive Games users can update to version 1.01 automatically through their installed clients, all other customers can get the patch here:

Apple rejects iPhone C64 emulator (Commodore 64)

Apple has rejected an officially-licensed Commodore 64 emulator due to the application's violation of its SDK agreement.

Danish studio Kiloo Aps and Flashback developer Manomio collaborated on the project for over a year, creating an accurate emulation of the C64's keyboard-equipped hardware.

The software is unlikely to appear on the App Store, due to a clause in the iPhone SDK agreement which states that: "An Application may not itself install or launch other executable code by any means." The emulator is in violation of this clause as it allows users to 'boot' C64 disks.

Manomio CEO Brian Lyscarz is said to be frustrated by Apple's decision, pointing out that other sanction Apps do not abide by the clause, such as Sega's Sonic The Hedgehog and Z-machine interpreter Frotz.

Lyscarz also said that he is still hopeful that the emulator will be approved in one form or another.
