Devil May Cry 2 PlayStation 2 glitches - with video

Devil May Cry 2 Glitches PS2
Dante still has his huge sword and his signature twin pistols, Ebony and Ivory, but since the first game, he has picked up quite a few nice tricks. He can now run on walls, kick while being in the air and shoot in different directions at the same time. You have also received a side kick, the beautiful Lucia, who is as skilled as Dante when it comes to combat, although she prefers knives to fire weapons.

The level of violence in the game is high and this, coupled with the quick paced action sequences, made it a best seller and the series continued to thrive with the biggest addition being Devil May Cry 4, launched in 2008.

Glitches

Big jump

There is a glitch in the stairwell where Dante obtains the Flame Heart. This is performed easier in Devil Trigger mode. It can also be done with the Rocket Launcher (not in Devil Trigger). At that staircase, there is a way to jump from the bottom near the door almost to the top door. Stand at the bottom of the ledge where the staircase drops off, and hold Toward the camera so Dante will flip when he jumps. Press Jump, and as soon as you release it, fire as fast as possible. If done correctly, he will finish his jump on higher stairs.
Invisible walls
During mission 22 when you are approaching Mundus while he is in statue, go to the right or left side of the room. You will find that there are invisible walls trapping you in. You can wall-jump off these invisible walls.

Blockbuster video game rental company 'close to collapse' as shares drop 86%

blockbuster logoThe entertainment and video games rental store group Blockbuster is close to collapse say national reports.

The world's largest film-rental chain is under pressure due to competition from mail-order services.

Bloomberg had reported earlier that Blockbuster, based in Dallas, was looking at the possibility of filing for bankruptcy. Another turnaround option would be to take the company private.

Blockbuster recently launched a TV set-top media player that downloads films for instant viewing. It also signed up to a partnership with Sonic Solutions, a video publishing company, to enlarge its library

Blockbuster has a $350 million revolving credit facility that is due to be repaid in August. The company is attempting to refinance that debt, plus a $28 million term loan.

Blockbuster has 700 stores in the UK.

Their shares have been suspended in the US.

Worms Armageddon Decade download on Xbox Live Arcade

Worms Armageddon Decade has been launched 10 years ago for the Nintendo 64 and the PC, providing a wide variety of weapons that the player could choose from to eliminate his enemies and become the last worm standing in a variety of levels filled with puzzles or destroyable objects.

Don't forget that this isn't the only Worms games available for download on the Xbox Live Arcade, as XBLA Worms has also been launched a long time ago, but didn't become as popular because the creators at Team 17 needed to leave out a lot of weapons due to the size limit of 50 megabytes that was imposed back then. Hopefully, we'll hear something concrete from either Microsoft or Team 17 soon.

5000 Tibia players banned for cheating

For the second time in 2009 CipSoft banished more than 5000 Tibia accounts for cheating.

CipSoft continues its effort to eliminate all cheaters from Tibia. After a first wave at the beginning of February, CipSoft now banned another 5163 accounts for the use of unofficial software.

“Cheating is a nuisance for any multiplayer online game.” says Florian Eckert, responsible Product Manager at CipSoft. “For Tibia it is exceptionally annoying as its community has grown for over 12 years and during that time established a well balanced equilibrium.” Eckert continues. “We cannot and we will not tolerate any unfair interference to this.”

The use of unofficial software - generally referred to as ‘cheating’ - gives players an unfair advantage over others by automating tricky tasks or even controlling the whole character in game. Identifying players who use such programs can be a hard task as the used software is designed to imitate natural behaviour.

CipSoft relies on a home made tool in order to identify the users of unofficial software automatically. “We are 100% confident about the accuracy of our tool.” says Matthias Rudy, Lead Programmer at CipSoft. “We now know exactly who is cheating, how they are cheating and when they are cheating.” Rudy reveals.

Once identified, cheaters have to face severe consequences. Depending on their ‘criminal record’ some of the cheaters are only excluded from the game for a certain period of time. The accounts of other more intractable cheaters will be deleted completely.

When asked about CipSoft’s future plans and policy concerning cheating, Eckert admits “We’ve already pulled the trigger once, now we’ve pulled it a second time. It seems like we start to get the hang on it.”

Tibia is one of the oldest MMORPGs worldwide. It is online since 1997 and currently has a subscriber base of 120,000 players.
