CID The Dummy! - Crash Impact Dummy video game

The hero of the piece, CID is thrust from the dull drudgery of his every day life into an exciting mission to rescue Mia.

CID is a Crash Impact Dummy, one of millions created by the Professor B.M. Werken’s company to ensure that every product available on the market is safe for humankind. He diligently crashes, smashes, checks, re-checks and re-re-checks everything from lemonade to escalators. Like most of us at one point or another, CID thinks that there must more to life than just work.
He’s happy enough to put up with it, but he can’t help thinking that there’s something... else.
CID is a young, funky Crash Impact Dummy. He’s knows he’s cool, he knows he’s street, he knows he’s widdit. He’s not really sure where he’s heading in life. He kinda knows he’s destined for bigger things, but he’s stuck in this damn job…. He’s got a quick sense of humour, and uses his wit as a defence.

A star is born and he's made to last. CID THE DUMMY makes his debut in Oxygen Games’ first multi-platform production. It's an all-new action platformer that is sure to grab you with its enjoyable, fun gameplay, featuring a totally original character with charisma and moves, different fighting styles with which to battle enemies from unarmed combat to weapons like the Bazooka that can freeze, hit and burn.

• Interact as only a crash impact dummy can. Climb walls, swing on ropes, burn obstacles, destroy exploding barrels, use lifters, bounce on springs and with a neat head butt destroy walls all in stunningly realized environments. Game environment interaction is the most important part of the gameplay.

• CID's world is swarming with a host of fearfully fun enemies like the Dumper, Cursed Dummy and the bizarre Failed Experiment.

• Apart from fighting enemies, the player will enjoy solving puzzles, avoiding traps and using acrobatic skills to get out of dangerous situations!

CID The Dummy will be released on Wii, Playstation 2, PSP System, and PC.

Boggle, Battleship, Yahtzee, Connect Four and Sorry! join Xbox Live

Fans of casual, family-friendly games are about to see their circle of fun widen with a slate of new Hasbro-branded digital play experiences on a variety of platforms from Electronic Arts in 2009.

EA are gearing up to inject nostalgic fun into the Xbox LIVE Arcade by bringing perennial board game favorites to the popular platform. Under a Hasbro Family Game Night banner, games such as BOGGLE, BATTLESHIP, YAHTZEE, CONNECT FOUR, SORRY! and SORRY!

Sliders will begin to roll out in Spring 2009. EA will showcase the highly anticipated lineup at the Consumer Electronics Show on January 8-11, 2009 in Las Vegas.

“We believe our Hasbro Family Game Night channel on Xbox LIVE Arcade will be one of the most dynamic and fun collections available on the platform,” said Chip Lange, General Manager of EA Hasbro. “We’ve been given the unique opportunity to create an exclusive EA Hasbro branded destination within the Xbox LIVE Arcade so players can easily find and play our lineup family-friendly digital board games. Just as families have game closets in their home, they will also be able to stock a digital game closet serving up hours of interactive play for kids and adults alike.”

EA and Hasbro will stock Xbox LIVE Arcade with Hasbro Family Game Night, a crowd pleasing assortment of games that are instantly recognisable household names such as CONNECT FOUR, BOGGLE, YAHTZEE, BATTLESHIP, SORRY!, and SORRY! Sliders.

All games will feature both original and new ways to play, including a Party Mode that features multiple mini-game versions of each title. Additional customisation features will allow players to earn virtual trophies, furniture and themes to decorate their personal virtual game rooms.

The Hasbro Family Game Night lineup will take full advantage of Xbox LIVE community features such as online play, Achievements, the ability to launch new games without leaving the environment, and sharing customized space with friends. The EA Hasbro virtual game closet is slated to open in Spring 2009 with multiple games followed by additional releases throughout the year.

Ninja Blade Xbox 360 Fact Sheet

Step into the dark and mysterious world of “Ninja Blade,” where gamers will be given the epic task to defend Tokyo and ultimately humanity itself from a horrific, genetically mutating disease.

High atop the towering skyscrapers of modern-day Tokyo, Ken Ogawa and his team of skilled ninjas are deployed to destroy the infected monster horde and stem the spreading disease as humanity hangs in the balance. Matters quickly take a turn for the worse as Ken and his team are betrayed from within their own ranks. After narrowly escaping death, Ken is left to fight the daunting battle alone while also attempting to understand the motivations behind his betrayal.

Armed with an extensive arsenal of specialized ninja weapons, tools and skills including the powerful forces of “Ninja Vision” and “Todome,” players must fight insurmountable odds, and once again bring peace and order to Tokyo.

Features:

Unique Ninja abilities. To help defeat the genetically mutated monsters, players will have the special abilities of “Ninja Vision” and “Todome” at their fingertips. Enabling “Ninja Vision” will allow players to detect and analyze potential enemy weak points, secret paths, and hidden information within the environment. Beware though, while using “Ninja Vision,” characters become susceptible to excess damage. “Todome” is a special attack that destroys an enemy character’s core (heart), by dealing a fatal wound. Balanced and calculated use of both these abilities will be critical to progressing through the game
Variety of weapons, tools and “Ninjutsu” – specialized Ninja powers - offer an enticing array of options. Varied environments force players to think strategically about which set of weapons and tools will be most effective at conquering thier way through different levels. Everything from dual wielding swords, to grapple wire hooks, to grenades each have distinctive features and characteristics, so choose wisely! “Ninjutsu” is a special power that results in an explosive electrical force to either stun enemies or protect oneself from attack. Interactive quick-time events. Scattered throughout integral parts of the storyline, characters will come across various quick-time events where players will have the opportunity to directly interact with in-game cut-scenes.
