Runes of Magic achieves the first milestone

The success of Fantasy Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games is unbroken. Now Frogster is proud to present the first success message regarding the highly anticipated Runes of Magic (http://www.runesofmagic.com). Within the first three month since release of the website and the start of the game's closed beta registration, more than 95,000 players have registered for Runes of Magic. The Berlin publisher takes this event as an opportunity to announce the start of the closed beta test II (CBT II) for Oct. 9th and the start of the open beta for Dec. 9th. For the CBT II stage, there will only be a small number of new invitations. In the upcoming beta phases an additional 30,000 players will be invited to take a look at the world of Taborea and its inhabitants.

Furthermore, by reaching the 100,000 player mark at such an early date, all expectations of the publisher were exceeded. The combination of high quality and Free2play without monthly subscription is received very well by the players and is considered a key factor of the title's success.

Until the launch of the game in December 2008 Frogster aims for 250,000 registrations as the next milestone. For this reason, Runes of Magic has evolved into one of the most promising titles on the MMOG market in such a short time.

Runes of Magic – a world full of wizardry and adventure
With an extensive range of features Runes of Magic prepares to redefine the standard of free-to-play MMO games. Right from the launch Runes of Magic will convey its absorbing story in over 600 quests embedded in an atmospheric world. Players can choose from six main classes. Combined with a secondary class they dispose of 36 individual character classes over all. All characters possess unique skills with impressive combo attacks and can use mounts in the later stages of game play. The first of this week's Virtual Console offerings welcomes back classic '90s gaming hero Earthworm Jim! Jim was an ordinary earthworm who did very earthworm-like things such as flee from crows and eat dirt. One day, during an outerspace fight, a suit drops to Earth, and falls around Jim. It mutates him into a large and intelligent (at least by earthworm standards) superhero.

Play as Jim in this SEGA Mega Drive classic! When you learn of the evil plans of Psy-Crow and Queen Slug-for-a-Butt, you decide to rescue Princess What's-Her-Name. Ride to Hell Roars to Life in Teaser Video, Featuring the Atmosphere and Attitude of the '60s Deep Silver released the first teaser video for Ride to Hell. Set to the classic ‘60s track “Born to be Wild,” the video highlights all of the basic elements of the game: the vast open road of the West circa 1969, the iconic music of the '60s and the guttural roar of motorcycles.

Due out in 2009, Ride to Hell is being developed for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system and PC.

Ride to Hell is an action-packed, free form-style video game set in the “sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll” era of the 1960s. Players take on the role of a biker in a motorcycle gang, riding full throttle through the west coast. As they motor through deserts, coastal roads and urban environments, they’ll need to protect the gang’s turf, their brothers, babes and choppers from rival gangs.

The game captures the bare-knuckled, gritty, untamed lifestyle of the biker gang culture in its heyday - featuring ‘60s style art, licensed and original rock music, tattooed, denim-clad bikers and their babes, customizable choppers, and, of course, a bad-to-the-bone attitude.
